Cognitive- Think about the
spelling words along with the
shape of the spine and how
they go along.
Physical- Use fine motor
skills to glue the spelling
words along with the
deffinitions on the spine.
Social- Talk to teachers and
other classmates about the
activity.
Given the materials needed,
the children will start with a
plain blow pop, then put the
yellow felt over it then glue
the googley eyes on it, then
put the rubber band on so it
looks like a ghost, the children
will learn about halloween
and see what goes along with
it.
- spelling words and
deffinitions paper
- red vertical piece of paper to
represent the spine
-scissors
-glue stick

Motivation/Introduction:
"Lets go make a spine with our spelling words!"

Procedure:
1. Get the materials needed.
2. Encourage a student to come over.
3. Have the child cut out the words and deffinitions.
4. Give the child a word and have them find the deffinition.
5. Have them glue it into the spine and repeat steps 4 and 5.
6. Have them clean up when finished.
