Florence Pollock

Green Party List candidate for

London Assembly
As a young woman who has grown up in
London, I have experienced first-hand how
young people are side-lined in the capital.
The Green Party are the voice of the ‘lost
generation’, and it is essential that we are
the party that represent them on the London
Assembly. This is why I am standing for the
London Assembly List.

Since joining the party in 2016 I have been elected to the disciplinary committee
in Spring 2017, and that same year took part in the Young Greens 30 under 30
training scheme. I have been heavily involved with my local party, Lambeth,
standing as a candidate in Vassal. I have also held an elected committee position
on the London Young Greens where I was essential in organising a programme of
action weekends campaigning for Target Candidates across the city.

My priorities
Introduce more controls on private landlords and push the Mayor to ensure they
put the building of affordable housing at the top of the agenda.
Free public transport for all London residents to reduce the financial impact on
Londoners, and encourage public transport use and a reduction in cars on our roads.
Improve educational provision in London, seeking to ensure that all school age
Londoners to receive a good education, regardless of where they
live or their socioeconomic background.
Whether I am elected to the party list or not,
I will campaign tirelessly for the GLA elections
in 2020. It is important that London continue
to have Greens elected to hold the Mayor to
account and ensure they are acting in the best
interests of Londoners and the environment.
