ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the relationship between study habit with chemistry learning
achievement. The method used is correlation method. The subjects of this study were high
school students class X and XI who from SMAN 105 Jakarta, SMAN 64 Jakarta, SMA PKP
Jakarta, and SMA Bina Dharma Jakarta. Sample were taken by purposive sampling
technique and total students were 650 students with 329 male students and 321 female
students or 340 government school students and 310 private school students. The instruments
used were questionnaire adapted by Study Habits Inventory by Bakare and learning
achievement were taken from the mid score. Correlation technique used is rank spearman.
The results showed that: 1) correlation coefficient value was obtained for 0,244 which means
there is a significant relationship between the study habit with chemistry learning
achievement with categorized as low relationships, 2) male students have relation of study
habit with chemistry learning achievement higher than female students, with correlation
coefficient value of male students is 0,264 and female students is 0,223, and 3) private school
students have relation of study habit with chemistry learning achievement higher than
government school students, with correlation coefficient value of government school students
is 0,253 and private school students is 0,263.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kebiasaan belajar dengan prestasi belajar
kimia siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah korelasional. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa SMA
kelas X dan XI di SMAN 105 Jakarta, SMAN 64 Jakarta, SMA PKP Jakarta, dan SMA Bina
Dharma Jakarta. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling dan jumlah sampel yaitu
650 siswa, terdiri dari 329 siswa laki-laki dan 321 siswa perempuan atau 340 siswa di sekolah
negeri dan 310 siswa di sekolah swasta. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket kebiasaan
belajar diadaptasi dari Study Habits Inventory by Bakare serta prestasi belajar kimia siswa
diambil dari nilai ulangan tengah semester. Teknik korelasi berupa rank spearman. Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) nilai koefisien korelasi siswa sebesar 0,244 yang berarti
terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kebiasaan belajar dengan prestasi belajar kimia
siswa dengan kategori hubungan yang rendah, 2) siswa laki-laki memiliki hubungan
kebiasaan belajar dengan prestasi belajar kimia yang lebih besar dibandingkan siswa
perempuan, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi siswa laki-laki sebesar 0,264 dan siswa
perempuan sebesar 0,223, dan 3) siswa di sekolah swasta memiliki hubungan kebiasaan
belajar dengan prestasi belajar kimia yang lebih besar dibandingkan siswa di sekolah negeri,
dengan nilai koefisien korelasi siswa di sekolah negeri sebesar 0,253 dan siswa di sekolah
swasta sebesar 0,263.
