I believe that the parents of Romeo and Juliet, the Capulets and the Montagues are the

cause of the tragedies within Romeo and Juliet. The feud was the cause of all of the deaths
within the play. None of this would have happened if the feud was there to begin with. Their
parents could have stopped the feud long before Romeo and Juliet were even born, they never
did though. “The fearful passage of their death-mark'd love, And the continuance of their
parents' rage,” (Shakespeare 1) this shows that even after their own childrens death, they never
fully resolved their feud. If there was no feud to begin with, romeo and Juliet would be able to be
happily married, because they are of the same social class. The only reason they cannot be
together is because their parents hate each other. Juliet's mother and father both wanted
Romeo exiled after he slays Tybalt “And for that offence, Immediately we do exile him hence”
(Shakespeare). Juliet then feels as if her entire life is falling apart once she learns this. The Friar
comes up with a plan for Romeo and Juliet so they can get married and be together. The plan
seems full proof, but Romeo never learns about the plan. Then they both (Romeo and Juliet)
die. In conclusion, this is mostly the parents fault. They were still stubborn to end the feud even
after their children died as a result of it.
