MOUNTING THE ATTACHMENT

The ettachment is mounted at right ongles to the flat side of the grinding wheel, The note of the
rill rough should be about in line with the center of the ori ‘ond about 34" fo L" from
the rim of the wheel (See Fi. 1).
Fosten to bench using bol, washer, and wing nut. The balt should be located about 2%" from the
fict side of the wheel, A slotied bose is provided for fore and aft adjustment (See Fig. 2).
For certain it may be necessary to block up either the grinder or the attachment.
Shops with magnetic chucks can offach sgel plate fo base of attachment for use with surface grinder feeds,

As drill manufacturers use different flute shapes and spiral angles, it may sometimes
be necessary to depart slightly from the above rules, This is probable if the chisel
angle appears incorrect. The drill should then be completely re-ground. For a gredter
angle, more drill everhang should be used. (See step No. 2) For a lesser chisel
angle, less dri 19 should be used. (See step No. 2.)
