January 2019

Dear all colleagues,

As part of Norwegian’s #FOCUS2019 initiative which is aimed at reducing costing, a network-wide

performance evaluation has been conducted and it has now become necessary to commence a
restructuring process. Norwegian has embarked on an exhaustive review of its Boeing 737 operations
(both the 800 and MAX models). The requirement is to cut costs and reduce the commercial impact of
seasonality with the aim to ensure the long-term future of the Norwegian Group.

The company (Norwegian) has therefore decided to make several changes to its route portfolio as well
as adjusting its capacity. This unfortunately means we will see a series of route cancellations and
changes as well as base closures starting in the forthcoming months and continuing throughout 2019.
Norwegian will have to downsize its Boeing 737 fleet with several aircraft throughout the year and all
737 MAX deliveries in 2019 will be exclusively dedicated to fleet renewal.

Following this, your base will unfortunately be affected and subject to closure.

During 2019 there will base adjustments meaning no 737 aircraft or aircrew will be based in Palma de
Mallorca (PMI), Gran Canarias (LPA) and Tenerife (TFS) in Spain; Rome Fiumicino (FCO) in Italy; Stewart
(SWF) and Providence (PVD) in the United States. NB! This capacity adjustment will not affect Rome’s
long-haul base. In addition, there will no longer be long haul pilot bases in Amsterdam (AMS), Bangkok
(BKK) or Florida (FLL).

What does this mean to you?

The abovementioned bases will be subject to closure during 2019.

Norwegian and all employers will of course do their utmost to take care of all affected people in close
collaborations with the relevant union representatives. The details including dates for base closures will
be discussed separately with the respective union representatives in the forthcoming months.

All dialogue and follow up will be conducted according to legal requirements as well as company policies
with the aim to reduce negative impact.

Next step
You will soon receive an invite to a base meeting where more information will be shared and where
questions can be raised.

Who should I contact with questions?

We encourage you to contact your employer/manager, local HR representative, base Chief or union
representative if you have questions or concerns.

This decision was not taken easily. Norwegian is incredibly grateful to every one of you for your
continued hard work and dedication each and every day.

The above changes have been communicated to all the aircrew unions in Norwegian, and the dialogue
with them has already started in earnest with a view to minimize the impact. Communications to
everyone in Norwegian will also be given later today.
Best regards,
Gitte Leonce, VP cabin crew
Lars Rønnov, VP flight deck crew
