II. Program Duration 修業期限

Master’s program: 1-4 years; Ph. D. program: 2-7 years。

III. Academic Year 學年度

Taiwan Tech runs 2 semesters in each academic year. Spring semester is scheduled from February to June, while fall semester is from September to January
of the following year.

IV. Entry Requirements 入學條件

International students who meet the following requirements are eligible to apply:
外籍學生須符合下列資格方能申請:
A. Nationality: 國籍
An individual of foreign nationality, who has never held nationality status from the Republic of China, R.O.C. (as defined in *Article 2 of Law of Nationality)
and does not possess an overseas Chinese student status at the time of their application. An applicant must comply with the regulations regarding
“International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan” of the Ministry of Education (MOE).
具外國國籍且未曾具有中華民國國籍(請參考*國籍法第二條規定)，於申請時並不具僑生資格者，並符合教育部外國學生來臺就學辦法規定。
*Article 2 of the law of Nationality
A person shall have the nationality of the Republic of China under any of the conditions provided by the following subparagraphs:
1. His/Her father or mother was a national of the Republic of China when he/she was born.
2. He/She was born after the death of his/her father or mother, and his/her father or mother was a national of the Republic of China at the time of death.
3. He/She was born in the territory of the Republic of China, and his/her parents can't be ascertained or both were stateless persons.
4. He/She has undergone the nationalization process.
有下列各款情形之一者，屬中華民國國籍：
1. 出生時父或母為中華民國國民。
2. 出生於父或母死亡後，其父或母死亡時為中華民國國民。
3. 出生於中華民國領域內，父母均無可考，或均無國籍者。
4. 歸化者。
B. Qualification: 學歷資格
1. To transact the assessment and recognition of foreign academic credentials, applicant’s graduation institution shall meet the following requirements:

 recognition for academic credentials of foreign institutions of higher education listed in the MOE reference list (http://www.fsedu.moe.gov.tw/), or
the school is recognized by the competent educational authority or by a relevant accreditation agency in the home country.
畢（肄）業學校應為已列入教育部參考名冊者；未列入參考名冊者，應為當地國政府學校權責機關或其認定之教育專業評鑑團體所認可。
2. Master’s program: applicants with a bachelor’s degree; Ph. D. program: applicants with a master’s degree

具學士學位者，得申請入學本校碩士班；具碩士學位者，得申請入學本校博士班。
3. The enrollment period of one’s previous degree should meet the following requirement: at least 32 months of enrollment prior to conferral of a
bachelor’s degree, at least 8 months of enrollment prior to conferral of a master’s degree.
持學士學位者，累計在當地學校修業時間至少須滿三十二個月；持碩士學位者，累計在當地學校修業時間至少須滿八個月。

B. Application procedures: 申請程序

a. Please remember your application account. You will need it to change the application information, upload documents, check your application
status and find out admission results. 請牢記您線上報名時所填寫之電子郵件,以便之後登入申請系統修改資料、上傳文件以及查詢資格

b. Please apply online and fulfill requirements of the departmenty/Graduate Insititution you applied. Please strictly comply with the three steps
below to submit all the necessary documents, including submission of application, collecting recommendation letters (if required), and making

 application payment. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of your application. All losses thus incurred shall be borne by the applicant. 請

c. Recommedation Letters: To be written in Chinese or English by applicants’ professors or employers. Please log in to the online application
system and fill in the referee s’ information and email address. The system will send email directly to them. Applicants shall check whether or
not their referees have completed the Reference Letters before the deadline. Your application is not complete if your referees fail to reply by
application deadline.
推薦信：限中文或英文，推薦人應是申請人的老師或雇主。申請生需於線上申請系統完成推薦人基本資料及電子郵件登錄，系統將會直接寄發
電子郵件給指定之推薦人，申請生需自行確認推薦人於申請期限內完成線上推薦程序。推薦者如期於申請截止前線上推薦完成後方完成申請

3. Application Fee 繳費說明
a. The regular fee is TWD 1,000 or USD 30 per department/graduate institute. 每單一系所:新臺幣 1,000 元或美金 30 元。
b. Other currencies are not accepted. 不收受其他幣值。
c. The payment account is exclusive for each applicant. Please do not pay with other people's payment accounts .繳款帳號為報考人專屬繳款帳
號，請勿使用他人之繳款帳號。
d. After the payment is completed, no refund will be given under any circumstances. 申請費一經繳交,概不退還。
4. Payment method: 繳費方式
a. Online payment via credit cards 信用卡:

i. Payment can be made worldwide. 此繳費方式全球通用。

ii. Payment denominated in NTD; no processing fees.以新台幣計價，免自行負擔手續費。
iii. After online payment is completed, a confirmation will be shown immediately on the application website. 刷卡後可立即於報名網站看到繳
款完成。

b. Domestic payment via bank transfer (Taiwan) 國內繳費(台幣帳戶):

i. Payment is limited in Taiwan and can be made via ATM transfer, Web ATM, Online Bank or inter-bank funds transfer (CTBC Bank does not
provide such service). 限於臺灣使用，可使用 ATM 轉帳、網路 ATM、網路銀行或至各金融機構跨行匯款(中國信託除外)。
ii. Payment denominated in NTD. Additional processing fees will be charged. The amount of fees depends on the bank’s policy. 以新台幣計
價，需自行負擔手續費，手續費依各銀行規定。
iii. A confirmation will be shown on the application website the day after the transaction is completed. 可於繳費後次一日，於報名網站看到繳
費完成。
iv. If you pay via ATM transfer, check if the balance appears on the receipt. If not, it means the transfer is not successful. 使用 ATM 轉帳，操作
後請檢查交易明細表 之「可用餘額」是否顯示餘額，若無即表示轉帳未成功。
v. If you pay via inter-bank transfer, please note that payment completed after 15:30 on the application due date will be counted as next-day
transaction and thus will not be accepted. Therefore, if you pay on the due date, do not use this paying method. 使用各金融機構跨行匯款，
請注意繳費截止日當天 15:30 後屬隔日匯款不予受理，故報名截止當日勿利用此方式匯款，以免造成報名不成功。

c. Payment via international funds transfer 國外繳費(美金帳戶):

i. This option is for transferring funds from overseas. 適用於國際間海外匯款。

ii. Payment denominated in USD; processing fees not included. 以美金計價，手續費額外支付。
iii. Transfers should be made with the OUR instruction. The expense of all processing fees, including those charged by the remittance bank, the
intermediary/corresponding bank and the beneficiary bank, should be paid by the applicant. 報名者需自行負擔所有手續費，包含匯出行、
中間轉匯行及受款行手續費。
iv. Due to the complexity of international funds transfer procedures, it may take several working days for the payment to be received by Taiwan
Tech. Please pay the fee as soon as possible before deadline. 因國際間匯款作業繁複，故繳費後可能需多個工作天才會入帳，請儘速繳
款。

A. Chinese-taught Program 中文學程

No NTUST scholarship provided.中文學程不提供臺科大獎學金。

B. English-taught Program 英文學程

1. NTUST Scholarship 臺科大外籍研究生獎學金
Graduate students from abroad apply for admission to our English-taught programs for master’s and doctoral degrees as full-time students may apply
for one year’s scholarship; continuation of the scholarship depends on the student’s academic and research performance. The type of NTUST
scholarship will be determined by the department based on the applicant’s qualifications. For scholarship recipients, tuition and fees are waived for
each year of the scholarship. Applicants could apply for this scholarship through the admission application system. For further information, please

具國外大學學士或碩士學歷之外籍生申請就讀本校英文學程研究所時，可申請本獎學金，為期一年；碩士第二年及博士第二、三年之受

** For the NTUST scholarship recipient, both those receiving a full monthly stipend and those with a partial monthly stipend, the department or thesis
advisor must provide NTD2,000 of the monthly stipend to master’s students and NTD3,000 of the monthly stipend to doctoral students, with the
remaining portion of the stipend provided by the university. This regulation will be applied beginning from the second year of master’s and doctoral
degree students, continuing into the third year of doctoral degree students; some of the departments may put this policy into practice starting from the
first year. For example: a master’s degree student with a full monthly stipend will receive NTD2,000 from the department and NTD8,000 from the
university.
各系所或指導教授必須提供配合款予臺科大外籍研究生獎學金全額及半額之受獎生:博士生每月新台幣 3000 元，碩士生每月新台幣 2000
元；其餘款項由學校撥付。舉例:碩士生受領全額獎學金依規定學校撥付新台幣 8000 元；系所或指導教授撥付新台幣 2,000 元。此一規定
從碩士第二年及博士第二、三年實施；惟有些系所從第一年起即開始實行，詳情須依各系所規定辦理。

 2. Taiwan Scholarship 臺灣獎學金
In order to encourage students from other countries to pursue higher education in Taiwan, the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and
Ministry of Science and Technology award scholarships for international students. For detailed information regarding the Taiwan Scholarship, please
check with the Taiwan embassy or Taiwan representative office in the students’ home country, Office of Taiwan Scholarship and Huayu Enrichment
Scholarship Program (https://taiwanscholarship.moe.gov.tw/web/engindex.aspx), or see the MOE and MOFA websites.
教育部、外交部及科技部設置臺灣獎學金鼓勵優秀外國學生（不包括大陸地區、香港及澳門）來臺攻讀學位，藉此認識臺灣教育學術環境、
增進我國與世界各國之交流、瞭解及友誼。查詢更多詳細臺灣獎學金資訊，請洽駐外使館或臺灣駐外代表處、臺灣獎學金及華語文計畫網
站(https://taiwanscholarship.moe.gov.tw/web/engindex.html)或至臺灣教育部及外交部網站查詢。

VII. Application Results 申請結果

Applicants will be informed to check the admission result via Taiwan Tech online application system by email and Letter of Admission will be sent by
postal service. Please provide an actual postal mailing address for sending the Admission letter. Applicants must take full responsibility of the consequences
if the Admission letter is undeliverable due to an incorrect mailing address or wrong personal information. Application for re-sending the Acceptance
Letter will be charged NTD600 for administration fee.
申請者將會收到 email 通知請於本校申請網站查詢錄取結果，並以郵寄方式寄出錄取通知書。請提供正確的郵寄地址，若因地址不詳或資料錯
誤，重寄錄取通知將於入學時另收 600 元行政作業費。

VIII. Online Intention Reply for Enrollment 線上入學意願回覆

Accepted applicants should select their intention for enrollment by logging in to Taiwan Tech online application system in compliance with the schedule

indicated in admission notice to complete online reply procedures. Failure to submit within deadline will be regarded as voluntarily giving up admission.

Accepted applicants can choose to defer their admissions to next semester for one time; however, their NTUST scholarships will be cancelled.

 錄取人應於截止期限前於本校入學申請網站選取報到意願，逾期者視為放棄就讀。錄取人若選擇延期到次學期入學，臺科大獎學金將於入學時
被取消。

IX. Important Notices 注意事項

A. Applicants should conform to the MOE Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan. Any violations of the mentioned

regulations, including submitting forged, fabricated, or altered papers, will result in immediate cancellation of the their admissions, the deprivation of their

recognized status as a Taiwan Tech registered student, or revocation of theirTaiwan Tech diploma. No academic certificate will be given.外國學生申請入

學應依外國學生來臺就學辦法辦理，違者(含繳交偽造、假借、塗改的文件)將取消其錄取資格、學生身分或已取得之學位，並不予核發任何證

明。

B. Taiwan Tech accepted students are required to submit the following documents upon their registration at Taiwan Tech:
1. Students from Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam and Malaysia who have also graduated from universities in their home countries are required to
submit original diploma or original certificate of graduation, original transcript on site at the registration at Taiwan Tech. Those students who
submit certificate of graduation need to submit the original diploma in the end of Jul., 2019. Those students who do not receive full or partial
NTUST scholarships should also submit financial statement certified by a notary public and showing at least 8000 U.S. dollars. Note that all the
students are required to buy medical and accident insurance (3000 NT dollars) on site at the registration at Taiwan Tech. To finish the registration
process, a *health certificate is required to be uploaded to the application system by Jan. 20, 2019. If the above documents are not in English, English
versions are needed together with the originals.
印尼、菲律賓、越南及馬來西亞之錄取新生且於該國取得符合申請本校之學歷者，可於註冊時繳交畢業證書(或畢業證明書)正本、成績單
正本、經公證人驗證之財力證明(學位生至少 8000 美金以支付生活之開銷。臺科大全獎或半獎之受獎學生免附此證明)。入學時繳交畢業
證明書之新生須於 2019 年 7 月前繳交畢業證書正本。上述入學者須於註冊時至臺科大辦理保險。為完成註冊手續，請於 2019 年 1 月 20
日前上傳健康檢查報告。若上述文件正本非英文，請於正本外附上英文版本。

 2. Students from countries other than the four countries stated above are required to submit original diploma or certificate of graduation, original
transcript on site at the registration at Taiwan Tech. Their diploma or certificate of graduation, and transcript should be authenticated by an overseas
Embassy of Republic of China (Taiwan) or Mission of Republic of China (Taiwan). Those students who submit certificate of graduation need to
submit the original diploma and its authentication from the above institutions in the end of Jul., 2019. Students are also required to submit a
certificate of medical and accident insurance covering at least six months starting from the date of entry into Taiwan. The medical and accident
insurance can be purchased on site at the registration at Taiwan Tech (3000 NT dollars). If the insurance is purchased outside Taiwan, the certificate
of the insurance should also be authenticated by an overseas Embassy of R.O.C. (Taiwan) or Mission of R.O.C. (Taiwan). Those students who do not
receive full or partial NTUST scholarship should also submit a financial statement showing at least 8000 U.S. dollars. The financial statement should
also be authenticated by an overseas Embassy of R.O.C. (Taiwan) or Mission of R.O.C. (Taiwan). To finish the registration process, a health
certificate is required to be uploaded to the application system by Jan. 20, 2019. If the above documents are not in English, English versions are

D. Dormitory 宿舍相關
During the reconstruction of Dormitory One, the rules of filling vacancies as follows:
1. Overseas Male Degree Program Students: New overseas students during the first year of their studies (Undergraduates: first year of four-year and
two-year upper division programs; Graduate students: first-year master’s, Ph.D., and dual-degree program students), and Ph.D. students below the
fifth year of study have top priority for the assignment of bedspace in the dormitory. Other overseas students and local students must draw lots for
any remaining bedspaces. (Fifth-year undergraduates, third-year master’s students, and Ph.D. students in their sixth year or above are not eligible to
draw lots.)
2. Overseas Female Degree Program Students: New overseas students during the first year of their studies, and Ph.D. students below the fifth year of
study have top priority for the assignment of bedspace in the dormitory. Apart from the dominants with priority, the second-year master graduates are
allotted first, and the lotteries will be drawn when the bed vacancies are insufficient, excluding the senior students, the third-year master students and
the six-year doctoral students. If there are not enough bedspaces for all the second-year master’s, the bedspaces will be assigned according to the
order of priority by drawing lots. (Third-year undergraduates, third-year master’s students, and Ph.D. students in their sixth year or above are not
eligible to draw lots.)
