Load cases of single axle of 20t and a bogie of 40 t (two axles spaced at 1220 mm) are also to be considered
for the transverse analysis of the deck.
Transverse spacing of the wheels of the axle or the bogie, and wheel impact will be as per the following sketch

The design will also be checked (designing slab) for 70R Tracked vehicle loading as per IRC: 6-2017
Congestion Factor
The congestion factor, defined in Table 6.5 as per IRC:6-2017, Cl. 204.4, affects vehicular live load only:
* Considered as a multiplying factor on the global effects of vehicular live load;
+ Not considered on acceleration, braking nor centrifugal forces (but Load Impact is included):
* Not considered on temperature gradient effect (but Load Impact is included)
