Identify the parts of a plant using grass (monocot), beans (dicot) and woody plant samples. Describe possible functions of plant parts. LESSON SEQUENCE:(demonstration, direct instruction, key questions, activity description, leaning activities, procedure, discussion outline) Introduction and attention focuser 5-10 minutes ‘Make overheads and masters of plant anatomy Students work through activity #1 on plant anatomy - look for grass plant that is in the flowering stage (may need to freeze sample during growing stage) 30-40 minutes Teach Lesson (K.Q. format) - Discuss the importance of learning plant parts. 30-40 minutes. Give a quiz on plant parts. Review, conclusions, reflection 10-20 minutes PROBLEM SOLUTION: Layout of the Plan...
