PROPOSAL

CONCEPT

A Misfortunate Girl has grown up very poor and has abusive parents, she also gets abused a school
because of the fact she lives in poverty. This of caused her to become extremely depressed and
anxious. Because she has no one to comfort her she resorts to her imagination which she ‘travels’ to
through listening to music. She creates people and entire worlds in her mind so she can escape the
horror that is reality.

WHY ARE YOU PRODUCING THIS PRODUCTION?

I was trying to think of ways to utilize the fact we weren’t allowed to use audio so I came up with an
idea of a deaf girl who is bullied by everyone. I also wanted music to play a very big part in this
production but I struggled to incorporate it into the current concept that I had so I changed it so the
girl wasn’t deaf so she was able to use music as a way to escape. This Concept appealed to me as I
thought I would be able to use music to create a certain mood well, which would make the
production more appealing.

The deadline for this unit it is the 25th of January 2019

TARGET AUDIENCE

People in the age range of 25 – 40 Find Adventure to be the most popular genre for 25 – 34 year
olds, so I wanted to make sure my short film is based a lot on the imaginative side.
