Target audience: Clinical research professionals, including coordinators, regulatory specialists,


research administrators, research nurses, and principal investigators.

Learning objectives:
1. To describe the VCU/VCU Health SOPs for clinical research and the intended purpose and use
of these SOPs.
2. To apply the VCU/VCU Health SOPs for clinical research for best practices in the conduct of
clinical research through the use of scenarios.

and ensure that at least one representative from your clinical research area attends. Please bring ID
(for attendance log in) and a laptop (if available, not necessary, but may be helpful).

A Certificate of Attendance will be provided for continuing education hours documentation.

This workshop is part of the new Clinical Research Skills Series (CReSS), coordinated b y the VCU
Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research. The purpose of the CReSS is to provide the
clinical research professional with skills and knowledge for the conduct of clinical research according to
