What do you mean by Color Families?

What do the numbers on the markers refer to? All Copic markers
are part of a Color System that has color theory built in. For Color Family Blending Group
example, the color number B05 informs us of its color qualities.
The letter represents the Color Family, B for Blue. The first digit
delineates the Blending Group, 0 is very vibrant (if the first digit
was a 7, 8, or 9, then it would be more gray or desaturated)*. The

last digit represents the Intensity, so 5 is a middle blue. Colors Process
that end in 0 are very light, and colors that end in 9 are very dark. Blue

*Earth tones do not follow this rule. Each Earth tone color family Intensity
has a different tone. For example: E40s are grayish, E70s are
purplish, E80s are greenish, etc. Look at a Color Chart to see
what tone each family has.
