Hello, I’m Júlia Renno, a Mechanical Engineer graduated at Federal University of Itajubá.

I am 28 years old, taking a master’s degree in Materials engineering at the same university and I currently live in
Itajubá, Brasil.

During my time in graduation I was part of two research groups, and I worked with a team of BAJA SAE, an off-road
car project that competes with other universities in Brazil.

During one year, I lived in France as an engineering exchange student and I did an internship at GoodYear Mold
Plant, in Luxembourg.

I worked one year as a wireline field engineer at Schlumberger in Argentina.

When I had to leave this job, I decided to do a master's degree and improve my knowledge in the field of materials
engineering, which I can apply in several areas, including oil and gas.

I didn’t give up pursuing a career in this area. The long-term prospects for careers in this field are strong and the
world will continue to have high oil and gas demands.

There is still room for development and growth, both in Brazil and in other countries, with new technologies
emerging and, thus, the need for development research.

And that’s what I want to do, with hard work and commitment. Working with the best and learning from them.
