And that paragraph in itself is a microsecond's worth of reflection that

my life.

Das's commentary from the beginning, I am not yet sure what his angle
is, though from what I hear, he was devoted to Ramachandra Bhagavan Interests: Radha Krishna, Prema

I went into GP's room and he was kneeling in front of his bed, writing. A. K.Warder (1)
He is still working on Another Side of Bhaktivinoda Thakur. He is on the

Gadadhar Pran Das, whose life is his bhajan. It was as though I hadn't A.K. Bandyopadhyaya (3)

Abhaya Mudra Dasi (3)
He began by asking me to help translate a passage from Vishwanath's
commentary from Ujjvala‑nilamani, The subject is that thorny problem abhidheya (5)
of multiple manifestations in the nitya‑lila, how Krishna and his eternal Abhimanyu (1)
associates can have multiple simultaneous manifestations with different

moods and activities, and even be unaware of what they themselves are
doing in these different manifestations. After I gave a rough oral abhiniveśa (1)
translation, he said, "Yes, exactly. This means that one can have abhisara (2)

identities in the Braja‑lila, for instance." achintya (2)
achintya‑bhedabheda (14)
When he realized I was not going to be staying, he started right in with
Achyutalal Bhatta (2)
explaining what he was writing and then actually read to me the
chapter on Guru Puja. addiction (1)
adharma (1)
Although he started by speaking a little about Bipin Bihari Goswami. He
Adhika‑pathyam (1)
quoted the exchange of letters that surrounded Kedarnath Datta's being
awarded the title "Bhaktivinoda" in 1885 [See footnote 4 in this post], adhikar (2)
his main point was that the entire Baghnapara guru‑varga joined adhikara (3)
together to honor him, not just Bipin Bihari Goswami. Gadadhar's point
Adipurusha Das (1)
here is that Bhaktivinoda Thakur is not the be‑all and end‑all of this
diksha sampradaya, but that Bipin Bihari Goswami's connection to the adultery (1)
Baghnapara line goes all the way to Jahnava Mata and Nityananda Advaita Das (7)
Prabhu on the one hand, and then to Ramachandra Goswami's
Advaita Prabhu's Stavaraja (3)
grandfather, Vamshivadanananda Chattopadhyay, the incarnation of
Krishna's flute and the guardian of Vishnupriya Devi in Nabadwip after Advaita‑vada (3)
Mahaprabhu's sannyas. So, according to Gadadhara, this disciplic line Agehananda Bharati (1)
has two esoteric aspects, one connected to Jahnava Mata and the other
ahangrahopasana (9)
to Vishnupriya Devi.
ahimsa (4)
He goes on to emphasize that these teachings of this particular disciplic Ahimsa milk (1)
line can be found in three books:
Aiana (1)
Anaṅga‑mañjarī sampūṭikā by Ramachandra Goswami or Ramai Akbar (1)
Thakur (about Jahnava Mata, revealing the tattva of her as
Akhandananda Saraswati (1)
Nityananda Shakti and Ananga Manjari)
Muralī‑vilāsa by Rajvallabh Goswami (the life of Ramai Thakur Akhiladhar Das (1)
and Jahnava Mata's instructions to him) Akinchan Krishna Das (1)
Vaṁśī‑śikṣā by Prema Das (the teachings of Vamsivadan Thakur)
Alan Entwistle (1)
Alasdair Macintyre (2)
These three books represent the unique slant of the Baghnapara
Albert Camus (2)
Goswami line.
Aldous Huxley (1)

23/08/2018 Jagat: A microsecond in the life
So Gadadhar Pran takes the disciplic succession seriously and daily Alfred North Whitehead (1)
recites the names of each member and does puja to them. At this point alienation (2)
he enters into a description of his internal puja and meditation in the
nitya Goloka Nabadwip. As he has told previously how he started his American election (1)
raganuga career following Madan Mohan Das Babaji, but felt some amnaya parampara (2)
constraints in the method that he taught and eventually broke free, Ananda Coomarasamy (1)
recognizing that if one is forced to do raganuga sadhana in an identity
for which one has no affinity, then the entire concept of raganuga falls Ananda Gopal Shastri (1)
apart. Ananda Math (1)
Ananta Das (28)
As Bhaktivinoda Thakur states
Ananta Vasudeva (2)
Ananta Vasudeva. Audulomi

To the devotee following the path of vidhi
the Holy Name grants the jewel of independence anasanga‑bhajana. (1)
and thereby gives entry to the path of Raga. Andrée Ruffo (1)
Andrew Brown (1)
The point being that taste or passion and independence are of necessity
linked. One has to follow one's own inclination or it is not raga. Andrew Keen (1)
Andrew O'Hagan (1)
So rather than following Madana Mohan Das's instruction to be a
androgyny (3)
brahmachari sadhaka in the Nitya Nabadwip, he started to think of
himself as a householder with a wife and children who were all Angelo Pugliese (1)
participating in the worship of Radha and Krishna, Gaura and Gadadhar Angiras Arya (1)
in the a palatial residence which just happens to neighbor that of
Anglican (2)
Gadadhar Pandit. Indeed, Gadadhar Pran thinks of himself as Gadadhar
Pandit's cousin. He is also his neighbor who goes to visit. He then anima (1)
described how the whole family gathers and goes in the accompaniment animus (1)
of kirtan to Lalita Prasad Thakur's kunj and so on through the
Anna Hazare (1)
parampara. His description of Bipin Bihari Goswami's dwelling is
interesting in that he pictures arriving there and seeing a play of Krishna anomie (1)
lila based on BBG's book, Madhura Milana. Another side of Bhaktivinoda
Thakur (5)
Call it artistic imagination or direct perception of nitya Nabadwip Dham,
antaranga (1)
Gadadhar's vision of the pastimes is the richest I have ever seen or
heard by anyone in any language. It is true svārasikī smaraṇa. And, it is Anthony de Mello (2)
telescoped. He has elaborately envisioned each moment, and the Anthony Weiner (1)
accumulated or collected results of his smaraṇa do not have to be
anthropomorphism (1)
formally repeated each time, they are contained in even a moment's
recollection. It goes on, even if his attention is primarily fixed on some anti‑intellectualism (1)
other manifestation of his own eternal pastime in Nitya Goloka anti‑Semitism (1)
Nabadwip.
antinomianism (2)

He asks, in his book, "Why am I doing this? Isn't it forbidden to reveal Anton LaVey (1)
one's internal meditations?" His answer is that first of all there is a Antonio Gramsci (1)
precedent, since Bhaktivinoda Thakur in his Siddhi‑lālasā did the very
anubhavas (1)
same thing. Indeed, all līlā texts implicitly imply the presence of the
sādhaka bhakta in his or her role. Next he says that this particular Anuradha (2)
smaraṇa of the Guru Puja belongs to the category of "external" sādhana, Anuraga (2)
even though it is a svārasikī meditation.

I was previously getting a little money from a devotee friend and most asamprajnata (1)
of that was going either to Gadadhar or to the Dwadash Mandir. Asana (6)
Unfortunately I had to tell Gadadhar that this source of help had
completely dried up. He said, "My only wealth is that I chant four lakhs asana‑siddhi (5)

Anyway, I am thinking that I need to find donors. Gadadhar's unique ashraya‑vishaya (11)

major repairs and overhaul. My Prabhu Lalita Prasad Thakur and this ashtanga‑yoga (2)

At 3.30 I went out, grabbed a rickshaw out to the Chaitanya Math. Like

It was only on the way back that I remembered that Bodhayan Maharaj

I was a bit disappointed though. The translation and commentaries are Autobiographical (60)
very brief compared to those of Ramsukha Dasji, not really helpful in Automythology (5)
