The project to design a health wellness-focused retreat/ resort at Siwa Oasis

- You are free to decide the area of the project, the design to be on a hill/ slope with contour,
again you are free on deciding how deep it will be.
- You will provide site analysis / studies
- Some / all rooms to be engraved in the rocks rooms with plants / grass on the roof
- The project may include :
- Reception area/ car park
- Ailes and walkways/ landscape
- Sand area in front of the lake
- Rooms you choose the no
- Restaurant and health/ sports centre you choose the areas/ sizes.

Deliverable 1: Project analysis provide both on the design maybe but separately in a word doc must
include the following:

- Project details – location, no of rooms, other facilities and its sizes- that you will recommend
and use in the design
- How you have applied your architectural knowledge and skills in designing this project
- Problems you have encountered and how you to solved them (architectural problems and
how you have used skills you have learned at uni / collage to solve them - including small
sketch and or small detail will be highly desirable.
- Strategies you devised, including creative design you had to come up with to overcome site

issues that may arise during the construction phase.

Deliverable 2: Bird’s view of the location/ site map and whole project – Coloured/ rendered - A3 size

Deliverable 3: Cross section in one of the rooms showing the requirements above – Coloured/
rendered - A3 size pdf

Deliverable 4: 3 to 4 sketches - Problems you have encountered and how you to solved them
(architectural problems and how you have used skills you have learned at uni.)
