LspCAD examples

The examples in this installation gives a brief

intro to what one can do with LspCAD

BOX PROJECTS
* Bassreflex box
An example of a simple bassreflex box using the
Peerless 832732 loudspeaker unit. Measured data
is imported.

* Double tuned bassreflex box type 2

A double tuned bassreflex box optimized for the
"shelf response" described in the manual.

* Bandpass box type 3

A commonly used type of bandpass box.

+ Look at the snapshot diagram, all box projects share

the same snapshot file, thus one can compare the designs.
Note the different frequency ranges for the various plots.
+ Open the box dialog for the projects and play around with
e.g the box volume and look how the frequency response changes.
One of the benefits of LspCAD is that one can instanly see
how system performance changes as parameters are modified.

FILTER PROJECTS
* simple3way
A simulation of a three way filter, the optimization work
took about 12 minutes, although no optimization function exist
one wery quickly reach good results.

+ Open the bass network dialog and modifuy e.g C11, look at the
"summed frequency response diagram" and see how the frequency
response changes, note that you can used the arrow-up/down keys
to increase/decrease the component values.

* advanced3way
A three way filter with 4th order slopes, the total time to
acieve this was about 60 minutes starting from scratch. Note the
implemententation of the notch filter in network 3 to cope with the
3dB peak at 11kHz. Click on the R1--R4 buttons to get a view of
the capabilities of the system optimizer.

* active3way
An active filter example with 4th order slopes, the total time
to achieve this was about 45 minutes staring from scratch. Note
especially the notch filter in network 3 that serves to suppress
a 3dB peak at 11kHz.

* advanced2way
A two way filter that makes full use of the Store/Recall functionality
this example is suitable for testing the emulator for the first time.

* series2way
A two way series topology filter project.

* series3way
A three way series topology filter project.
Hope the examples gives a good notion of LspCAD's abilities and
also helps you getting started.
