1. Discuss pp. 68-71.

a. Explain that when you are reviewing someone’s paper, you should not assume
responsibility for it. Don’t be the writer; be just the reader.
2. Have students turn to pp. 54-55 for a checklist of things to look for.
a. Explain that I’ll be doing the same thing, so it’s a good idea for them to get accustomed to it.
3. Discuss why subject/verb agreement is so important….or is it?
a. Ask students to correct the following sentences:
i. Physics are my favorite subject.
ii. Either Chris or I am responsible.
iii. Taxes is the worst thing about getting a paycheck.
b. Have students complete 15.1 on pp. 308-309.
i. Explain that I would use “each” differently, perhaps, than the book would.
4. Direct students to p. 310 and p. 312.
a. Have students complete ex. 15.2 on pp. 313-314 and ex. 15.3 on p. 314.
