New Pokemon Activity

- The new Pokemon looks like a cross between a Elephant

Shrew and a Rat
- The Reason why I think this Pokemon is a mammal is because
of its fur covered skin and has a snout (nose)
- The five groups which vertebrates can be placed into are:
Mammals, Birds, Amphibians, Reptiles, Fish

Vertebrates and Invertebrates:

Vertebrates are all animals with a backbone. A skeleton gives the
body support and shape.

Invertebrates are all animals without a backbone. These animals do

not have a bony skeleton. All insects are invertebrates. They do
have a skeleton but it is on the outside of their bodies and is not
made of bone.

The new Pokemon is a vertebrate, this is because it has a long flat

back and no bones on the outside of his body.

The five groups vertebrates can be placed into are: Fish,

Amphibians, Reptiles, Birds and Mammals

It is important that we classify this new pokemon because it helps

the scientific identification of any given organism and the study of
a few representatives from each distinct group helps us to
integrate the idea of life as a whole. Also It reveals the
relationships among various groups of organisms.
It provides information about plants and animals, which occur in
specific geographical regions. It indicates the evolutionary
relationship by establishing the gradually increasing complexity of
form and structure in different groups of organisms.
