By Hiba Hashim Taha Marwa Sirri Ibraheem Wala Mohammed Supervised By Mr.Ahmed Abd-Almgeed Feb/2014 ABSTRACT Telecommunication companies are facing problem of delivering the exact products/services that can meet the actual customer’s needs. By segmenting customers based on their usage behavior, telecom companies can better target their customers, and provide them products/services that meet their expectations. This research aims to cluster telecom customers based on their call detail records, analyzes their usage behaviors and develop application that helps telecommunications companies to make inform decisions about which certain products/services that will be offered to appropriate customers. This research will use data mining clustering algorithms like K-means, self-organizing maps (SOM) and will analyze these algorithms to find out which method will be the most suitable for behavioral segmentation. The final result of this research is to build suitable data model that will be used to facilitate clustering process and develop application that shows cach cluster and customer's behavior that is associated with it. After that this result will be evaluated’ from two perspectives, the internal and external connection distance using the Object Positioning criterion.
