L1- Intro N Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord,
‘’That I will arise to David a branch of
righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper,
and execute judgement and righteousness in
the earth. In His days Judah will be saved, and
Israel will dwell safely; Now this is His name
by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR
RIGHTEOUSNESS.
L2-TEMPLE N There was in the days of Herod, the king of
Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias and his
wife was Elizabeth. Both were righteous and
blameless walking before God, but they had
no child because Elizabeth was barren. And
one day, while Zacharias was serving as priest
before God, and people were praying outside
the temple. Then an angel of the Lord appeared
to him and He was troubled,

ANGEL: Zacharias! Zacharias! Your wife will

bear you a son. You will call him john. And he
will be the prophet of the most High- for he
will make ready, a people prepared for the Lord.

Zacharias: My wife !!! She is too old to bear a child.

ANGEL: But, behold, you will be mute and not be able to speak, until the
day, these things will take place.

PRIEST: He has seen a vision from God.

L3- N+A Now, when the time has come, for the fulfillment of the prophecies, the
NAZARETH eyes of the Lord, fell upon a city in Galilee, called Nazareth. There He chose
a young women, named Mary, who was betrothed to Joseph. And one day,
 Mary: Who are you?
Angel: Rejoice highly favored one, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you
among women! Do not be afraid Mary, for you have found favor with God.
And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a son. And shall
call his name JESUS. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the
highest; And the Lord God will give him the throne of His father David. And
He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will
be no end.”

MARY: How can this be? No man has ever touched me.

ANGEL: The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest
will over shadow you. Therefore, that Holy one, who is to be born, will be
called, the son of God. Now indeed, Elizabeth, your relative has also
conceived a son in her old age and this is now the 6th month for her, who
was called barren, For with God, nothing is impossible.

Mary: Behold, the maidservant of the Lord, be it unto me, according to

your word.

Mary wanted to see for herself, all that the angel spoke to her. And so, she
decided, to take her journey to Ein karem, where her relative Elizabeth and
Zacharias lived.
L4-Ein L Mary: Elizabeth! Elizabeth!

ELIZABETH: Mary! I’ve been longing to see you. Oh child! Blessed are you
among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb.

MARY: But how could you know?

ELIZABETH: Who am I that the mother of my Lord should come to me! The
moment I heard your voice, my child leapt in my womb for joy. Blessed is
she who believes the Lord’s words.
 MARY: My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God. My
Savior! For he has regarded the lowly state of His maid servant. For Behold,
henceforth, all generations, will call me blessed. For He, who is mighty, has
done great things for me and Holy is His name.

Now Elizabeth’s full time came, for her to be delivered, And she brought
forth her son. When her neighbor’s and relatives heard how the Lord had
shown great mercy to her, they rejoiced with her. So it was on the eight day
that they came to circumcise the child. And they would have called him by
the name of his father, Zacharias.

Relative-1: What name have you given him?

Elizabeth: He shall have the name of John.

Relative-2: john?! Nobody has that name…

All Relatives together: No one has that name!

Relative-2: If only Zacharias could speak, he would want a name that

honors such a blessed child.

Zacharias: His name is John.

Relative-3: uuh! He speaks!

Mary: Zacharias!

LS-5 N When Mary was in her 6th month, she returned to Nazareth from
NAZARETH Elizabeth’s house. Everyone, looked at her with surprise.

When Mary told joseph all that the angel had spoken to her, he did not
understand, what to do. But, being a just man, not wanting to make her a
public spectacle, was minded to put her away secretly.
 ANGEL: Joseph,son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary, as your
wife, For that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will
bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His
people from their sins.
Joseph gladly accepted Mary and was willing to take the responsibility.

And in those days….the roman harassment was more upon the jews, and
they always pleaded for God’s mercy.
A Decree : people of Israel hear me, this is the decree of Ceaser Augustus, all
the people of the Roman empire must participate in the census. Every man
must return to his own city, the land of his forefathers, there you will be
counted and taxed, there is no exception, any resistance will be dealt with
death, this is the decree of the Ceaser Augustus.

N So everyone took each of his family and moved to their home towns, every
city and town in Israel was crowded with moving people.

LS-6 N+A Bethlehem was a small town, the streets were busy with activity and with
BETHLEHEM people . All the business people worked hard to increase their trade. Men
traded things made of iron and wood, women sold chillis and baskets, some
fruits and spices, the romans used census to collect their necessary taxes,
each person hoped that their fortunes would increase because of this night,
but they did not know that someone more precious would be in their midst
God’s precious gift.
N+A Now Joseph also went out of from Galilee out of the city of Nazareth into
Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem. Because he was of the
house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife
who was with child.
NARRATOR: With the number of people already increased in there for
census, housing was tough to find. So it was no surprise that when Joseph
and Mary approached the Inn keepers, they were told that there was no
room for them in the Inn.
L MARY: Joseph
 JOSEPH : We are almost there. Sir, is there any room for me and my wife,
she is in pain. Please.
INN KEEPER: No. no room.
JOSEPH : Please is there any place?
INN KEEPER: No.. no room
INN KEEPER’S WIFE: what’s the matter?
INN KEEPER : we got to make more space , so we can earn better, to clear
all our debts, these Romans…
INN KEEPER’S WIFE: Don’t worry God will provide for us.
JOSEPH : please .. my wife… she is in pain .. please help..
INN KEEPER: I am sorry …. No room..
JOSEPH: Any place …. Please (Inn keeper’s wife comes out and looks at
Mary… and speaks to her husband)
INN KEEPER: uh.. you can have that stable that’s all I can give you.
JOSPEH: Thankyou .
N+A NARRATOR: And it was so, while they were there, when the days were
accomplished , she brought forth her first son and wrapped Him in
swaddling clothes and laid Him in a manger.
LS-7 N+A NARRATOR: there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field,
SHEPHERD’S keeping a watch over their flocks by night.
FILEDS And suddenly the angel appeared and said,
ANGEL: ‘’fear not! for behold,I bring you good tidings of great joy for all
people. For unto you is born this day, in the city of David, a Savior, who is
Christ the LORD. And this shall be a sign to you. You shall find a babe
wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger.
NARRATOR: And suddenly a multitude of the heavenly host joined together
praising God.
LS-8 N NARRATOR: And it came to pass when the angels were gone away, the
BETHLEHEM shepherds said to one another, let us go now to Bethlehem and see these
2 MANGER thing which the Lord had made known to us.
LS-9 N+A NARRATOR: During this time Herod the great was the king of Judea and
HEROD’S one day there was a feast in the palace celebrating the victory of the Jews ..
PALACE
 Now as the wisemen from the east followed the star.. the star disappeared
as they were approaching Jerusalem. So they came to Jerusalem seeking for
the new born baby in Herod’s palace.
HEROD: I have to fortify towards this side of the temple, I constructed this
magnificent temple so that people will not look for another ruler, tell me
how are people in my reign.
MINISTER: they are happily resting in your reign your majesty
MINISTER2: your majesty , we have certain magi who have come from the
east.. seeking for your appointment
HEROD: magi .. wisest of the wise.. send them in..
Wiseman 1: where is the one who has been born the king of the Jews.
HEROD: a newborn king how do you know?
Wiseman2: we saw his star in the east and we have come to worship Him
The scribe begin to search the scroll and he finds the scripture in Micah
which prophecies about the birth of the Messaiah.
HEROD: Bring me my messenger. Well go find him, and when you have find
Him please return to us, so we may come to worship Him as well
Wickedness begins in HERODS heart to kill the baby with deception and
madness, in the process he killed thousands of babies in Judea under the
age of two.

LS-10 N NARRATOR: on the 8th day Joseph and Mary took baby Jesus to Jerusalem
TEMPLE to present Him to the LORD and to offer sacrifice in keeping with what is
said in the law of the LORD a pair of doves and two young Pigeons.
PRIEST: What is his name?
MARY: His name is Jesus.
NARRATOR: Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was
righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel and the
Holy spirit was on him. Moved by the Spirit he went to the temple.
NARRATOR: when the parents were brought the baby Jesus to do for Him
as the custom of the law required Simeon took Him in his arms and praised
God saying,
SIMEON: sovereign LORD, as you have promised, you may now dismiss
your servant in peace for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have
 prepared in the sight of all nations: a light for revelation to the gentiles, and
the glory of your people Israel.”
Mary! “ this child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel,
and to be a sign that will be spoken against, so that the thoughts of many
hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.
LS-11 NARRATOR: as the wisemen continued their journey to Bethlehem, behold
WISEMEN the star which they followed went before them till it came and stood over
VISITING the young child
MANGER Wiseman 1: The greatest of the kings born in the most humble place.
Wiseman2: God became flesh.
Wiseman1: Gold for the king of kings
Wiseman2: Frankincense for the priest of all priests
Wiseman3: A gift of Myrrh for atoning sacrifice

NARRATOR: He is born to fight your battles

He is born save your families
He is born to make you win
He is the lion of Judah.
