Felipe: Hello, welcome to de program they are here, my name is Felipe and I’m whit my two partners Faber and Sebastian.

sebastian: Today we are talking about paranormal phenomena.

Felipe: The first subject is poltergeist.

Poltergeist is called the paranormal phenomenon that consists in the apparent movement, displacement or levitation of objects, as well as
the irruption of blows, sounds and other supposedly inexplicable events.

The word, as such, comes from the German, and is formed with poltern, which means 'make noise', and geist, which is translated as 'spirit'.

As such, it is classified as a phenomenon of violent nature that occurs in enchanted places or where there is evidence of paranormal activity, and is
associated with ghosts or entities linked to a dead person in a state of anger, which manifests its presence in the physical world in this way.

The events associated with the poltergeist are all related to perceptible manifestations of paranormal activity, such as the movement of objects,
noises, materializations, disappearance of things, strange smells, flashing lights or even physical attacks.

faber: Wow is incredible, but not much as mine, the second subject is ghosts in folklore, a ghost is the soul or spirit of a dead person or animal that
can appear to the living. In ghostlore, descriptions of ghosts vary widely from an invisible presence to translucent or barely visible wispy shapes, to
realistic, life like visions. The deliberate attempt to contact the spirit of a deceased person is known as necromancy, or in spiritism as a séance.

The belief in the existence of an afterlife, as well as manifestations of the spirits of the dead, is widespread, dating back to animism or ancestor
worship in pre-literate cultures. Certain religious practices—funeral rites, exorcisms, and some practices of spiritualism and ritual magic—are
specifically designed to rest the spirits of the dead.

The overwhelming consensus of science is that ghosts do not exist. Their existence is impossible to falsify, and ghost hunting has been classified as
pseudoscience. Despite centuries of investigation, there is no scientific evidence that any location is inhabited by spirits of the dead.

Sebastian: Excellent and finally the third subject is haunted houses, these are a houses often perceived as being inhabited by disembodied spirits of
the deceased who may have been former residents or were familiar with the property. Parapsychologists attribute haunting to the spirits of the
dead and the effect of violent or tragic events in the building's past such as murder, accidental death, or suicide.

According to popular legend, a haunted house may contain ghosts, poltergeists, or even demons. Sometimes these presences reportedly continue to
frequent the physical world after a tragic event occurred on the property

Legends about haunted houses have long appeared in history and literature. The earliest surviving report of a haunted house comes from a letter
written by Pliny the Younger (61 – c. 112) to his patron Lucias Sura, in which he describes a haunted villa in Athens.

Some signs that appear in haunted houses are:

 Disappearance and appearance of objects in the house

 Listen to strange sounds
 Sudden temperature changes
 Unusual events such as a sudden invasion of pests as insects
 Consecutive and unexplained deaths in the house
 Cats and dogs that howl or bark unnecessarily
