What was the first application of AI at Wipro? Describe in 100 words.

The first application developed by Wipro was “Holmes”. HOLMES enveloped innovations
for both AI services and work process automation. Both were utilized to enhance forms, in
Wipro's view the primary layer of process upgrades originated from inclining forms through
six sigma, process improvement, and disposal of monotonous undertakings. CTO K R Sanjiv
noticed that every one of these approaches independently gave you "some cost reduction, but
never in double digits"- while conversely, AI-based enhancements yielded "quantum leaps".

Solution Areas- It basically focused on two solution areas, Holmes for IT (Business and
Services) and Holmes for Non IT Business.

Holmes for IT encompassed many AI applications and focused on increasing efficiency and
decreasing the cost of IT operations and also improved the services, quality and reliability.
Holmes also focused on reduction in data centres service alerts, batch failures and operating
expenses.

How did Wipro extend the Holmes ecosystem with clients and others? What was their "Bot store"?

Wipro worked with large MNC banks to automate the processes through E-KYC which
helped in examining the financial and legal documents of the customers.

It also focused on 5 pillars through the BOTS, namely, NLP and voice recognition, statistical
and computational logic, Ontologies and patters, learning, and algorithmic intelligence.

One of the key efforts by the WIPRO was developing a series of used cases based on AI
applications which already had accumulated significant knowledge and data. This helped
them in developing the Greater Applications of AI.

The bot Store were collection of micro services which helped in doing micro servies. They
embedded AI models and ontologies. They were commercialized and developed through an
API structure- were modular, reusable, easily configurable and pluggable across different
applications. For example, multiple bots were used to observe, interpret an alert, log it, and
then decide to whether ignore it or solve it.
