SPANISH 1-2 Syllabus 2018-2019 [Bienvenidos a la clase de espafol! itis a pleasure to be your teacher this year and to have the opportunity to guide Your education of this wonderful language and the variety of cultures to which it pertains. Spanish is going to be a Useful too, either in your personal ife, current job, or future career. Class Materials- Syllabus and materials at least 3 colors of pens highlighter pencil internet access at home lined paper ‘composition notebook with at least 100 pages that is exclusive for Spanish ‘space in a 3ing binder to keep previous assessments and teacher handouts Class Texts: ‘Tarea (Homework): Leaming 2 foreign language Is hard! Homework . Late work will be accepted if completed at ‘the rate of 50% credit for 1 week only. Homework will be assigned 3-4 times a week. Ifno homework is assigned, students should review vocabulary for 15 minutes each night. Assessments: You will be assessed on your ability to read, write, speak, and listen in Spanish. Assessments will ‘always be announced and posted with ample time for you to study, ask questions, and feel prepared. Students ‘should expect an assessment every week. Projects: One or two projects will be assigned each semester, the topics of which will be discussed at a later date. Participation:: There will be a direct relationship between your class participation points and your Involvement in cur classroom. You MUST be prepared to learn and participate ACTIVELY in class EVERYDAY if you want o ear ll of your Dattcipation points. There are times however, when being n class is not possible.
