Smooth Curves
The finest quality
The first thing you’ll notice about the C2000 Classic series is the cover
comes in a choice of superb metal finishes and classic coloured
plastic mouldings.

This cover not only looks attractive, it also hides all mounting holes, and
is easily removed to enable you to paint right up to the edge of the grid
plate without having to worry about marking the cover. When decorating
is complete, the cover is simply replaced for a perfect finish.

C2000 Classic series covers and grid plates can be mixed and matched
to produce a combination that matches the particular décor theme you
want to create.

In fact even after the C2000 Classic series has been installed, you can
change combinations as your décor changes.

Switches
A wide choice of C2000 Classic series switches are available for homes
and commercial premises, including one to six button standard wall
switches and one to four button architrave switches.

Sockets
With so much electrical equipment in our homes and offices, it’s good
to know that the C2000 Classic series has all your requirements covered with
a comprehensive range of sockets.

10A and 15A single and twin switched sockets in horizontal and vertical
configurations provide a number of options including neons and safety
shutters in single or double pole.

Data and Communication
Telephones, fax machines and the Internet are an everyday part of life,
not just in the office, but in the home too.

Having a home entertainment system has usually meant putting up with

metres of messy audio cables, but not anymore. The C2000 Classic
series includes wallplates that provide a neat connection point for the
audio cables of televisions, VCRs and sound systems via easily identified
red, yellow, white, orange or black RCA sockets.

Specialised Switches
A 45A cooking appliance isolating switch is also available in the C2000
Classic series. Installed a safe distance from electric hotplates, it enables
power to the hotplates to be completely shut off in the event of an
emergency such as oil catching fire.

Access, Card, Dimmers, Fanspeed and Key Tag switches are also
included in the range.

Specialised Switch Sockets

For added peace of mind, twin switched sockets are available with
built-in RCD protection, in both 30 and10mA.

Four gang switched sockets make life even easier in the home and office –
you’ll soon wonder how you ever managed without them.

A universal shaver outlet has also been included in the C2000 Classic
series for locations such as hotels, conference centres and airports.

All specialised switch sockets are available in horizontal only.

Painting Shields
Snap on painting shields for grid plates are also available (C2000PP).
These paint shields provide total protection of the grid plate when
painting with a brush, roller or spray-gun.

Cooker Switches
40/45A current carrying capacity
The C2000 series cooker switches feature a
rocker style switch mechanism, with the single
pole version boasting a 45A load rating.

If a cooktop and oven are needed in the same area, a single switch can
be used to protect them both. In addition to the single pole (45A 250V),
a double pole (40A 500V) for multiple phase applications is also available.
Both have the option of a neon indicator.

The new rocker style switch mechanism gives the cooker switch a much
more stylish appearance and ensures that it blends well with other C2000
series switches. It also has generously sized terminals that will easily
accept 3x6mm2 or 1x16mm2 cables.

The perfect companion for C2000 series cooker switches are the socket
and plug/lead products (31VCS and 800CL). Together they allow cooking
equipment to be installed just before the new owners arrive, to prevent
damage or theft while building and decorating are still in the progress.

Classic Switches
The outstanding features and stylish good
looks of the IP66 C2000 Classic switches
make them the ideal choice for domestic,
wet area installations.

A simple solution to the longstanding problem of using electricity near

water, the IP66 C2000 Classic switches are designed specifically for the
restricted zones of kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and other wet areas
where both safety and aesthetics are important.

Their hardwearing, UV stabilised, polycarbonate surface also makes

them suitable for a wide variety of outdoor areas, such as carports
and pergolas.

There are four options in the C2000 Classic weatherproof range –
single through to 4 button switch.*

A unique waterproof membrane between the switch dolly and mechanism,

together with a low profile neoprene gasket ensures a consistent IP66 rating
when installed on a suitable surface.

These barriers guarantee safety when the switches are used with wet
hands or installed near sinks, basins, taps and shower areas.

Personalised Plates
C2000 Classic series products are available with
labelling windows so that switches and circuits
can be instantly identified.

The clear window simply clips into the grid and the label is inserted.
A specially pierced cover is then clipped on to give you an
easy-to-read label.

These products are available fully assembled or as an ID cover kit

comprising the relevant pierced cover, the necessary transparent
windows, and some commonly used labels.

Simply add ‘I’ to the standard catalogue number.

Custom Label Software Program
The labels supplied with the
ID cover kit have been chosen
to suit a number of everyday
applications. However, circuit
identification for major projects
can be far more complex, often
requiring hundreds of labels in
many sequences.

Available free from www.clipsal.co.nz, the

C2000 label printer is a Windows™ based
custom software package that uses a very
simple data entry form and allows for multiples
of each label and multiples of consecutive
labels. Text colour selection is also available,
depending on the suitability of the printer.

The program includes a test page and setting

adjustment facility which allows for different
brands of printers.

The C2000 label printer ensures perfect labels

every time when printing on C2000 label sheets.
These sheets are available in packs containing
10 pages with over 400 labels per page. For
further flexibility, there is a choice of both
adhesive or non-adhesive versions.

While the C2000 label printer was designed for

the C2000 Classic series labelling system, it can
also be used for 30PID labels and the Slimline
SC2000 range.

30 Series Mechanisms
> Push Button Mechanism

Push Button switching is not only the latest innovation in switch

operation, but also an easy to install retrofit solution.
30PB
The 30 series (30PB) push button mechanism will easily fit into all
standard C2000 Classic series wall plates.

The 30PB push button offers a new low profile look and feel and
provides a smooth and reliable action in preference to the standard
rocker switch.

The 30PB has a 20A/16AX capacity, comes with or without LED 30PBL
indication and fits all 30 series apertures. (22mm holes)

> Rocker Switch Mechanism

The gentle curves and overall shape of the 30 series rocker switch
mechanism is equally proportioned to provide uncomplicated 30M
symmetry.

It is this flexibility and strength of design that has enabled this switch
shape to remain in style since the 1960’s.

The 30 series can easily be converted from vertical to horizontal mounting

by removing the mechanism and turning it through 90°. Most switch
bases fit a 22mm diameter hole and have terminal bores of 4.1mm unless
specified otherwise.

Schneider Electric offers a broad range of labelled 30 series mechanisms

for easy identification when several switches are installed on the same
switchplate or when there is a chance of confusion over the load

Specialised mechanisms are available; such as the 30RSM3, a 1, 2, 3,

Off rotary mechanism, or the 30TKM which has a removable key that allows
