The Greatest Splits of All Time Remixed Abstract

The essay discusses how the car company Volvo showcases their new semi-trucks and

succeeds at arguing for their stability and reliability while also appealing to their audience

through logic, credibility and emotion. Volvo also utilizes color theory to reinforce their subtle

appeal to pathos. The commercial displays their Dynamic Steering by having famous action star

Jean Claude Van Damme do the splits between two of their reversing semi-trucks. By using Van

Damme they commit a fallacy but they’ve otherwise effectively proved their argument that their

trucks are safe, reliable and stable.
