Each group have a set of equation and a set a coordinates. get them to match them up (some do
not match)
once all done, give each group 2 large axis and either coloured dot stickers or coloured pen and
plot the graphs 2 graphs with centre (0,0) on one and other two on other axis.
Compare the first 2 (centre (0,0)) and note what is same/different… come to realise end number is
radius squared.
Do same with second axis and come to realise numbers in brackets help calculate centre of circle
Then after this has all been discovered get students to answer mini whiteboard questions to test
understanding
