As one of the core duties and responsibilities of the department to help the orphans financially, WAMY Philippines was able to source out sponsors for the emerging numbers of orphan applicants in the Philippines including the 1 year Sponsorship of 66 Orphans under Muhammad Zaid Al-Hilal at Teguig City which was just ended last August 2018, The commitment and passion of the department to continue serving and helping the orphans with sincerity and genuineness does not end there. In fact, the department is now opening its door to other sponsors who are willing to give some portion of their wealth for the orphans. Indeed, serving them regards high place in paradise and ample rewards from Allah (s-w.t). Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) says “I and the Person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this” putting his index and middle fingers together. The selection process of the department in identifying orphans as beneficiaries to their contact Sponsors was done with thorough procedures including the pre-sclection, verification, documentation, interview and house to house validation, WAMY Philippines required the orphan applicants to submit the following documents such as NSO Birth Certificate, NSO Death Certificate of the father, Shahadah Centificate or Office of Muslim Affairs Certificate of the deceased father, if the father of the orphan was a Muslim convert, two [2] pieces latest colored 2X2 photo, one [1] piece whole body picture, latest academic records, ribbons, medals, and other achievement certificates. Upon compliance with these requirements, WAMY Philippines presented it to the target person for approval. As mentioned earlier, Orphanage at Taguig City was one of the beneficiaries of the WAMY Philippines. They were classified into two: the Stay-in which consists of 29 and the Home based which comprises 37 orphans. Stay-in Orphans received P1,500.00 from WAMY PHILIPPINES for their food Consumption and educational needs through the orphanage.
