The glory of God is often revealed when and where it is least expected. God

INVITATION TO COMMUNION

Christ gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to
make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.
(Titus 2:14) Come, behold and receive the Word made flesh.
Lutherans believe, teach and confess that we receive the true Body and
Blood of Christ in Holy Communion. If you desire to pick up the cross and
live in Christ, we hope you will receive with us. Even if you do not feel

A monk who helped bring Christianity to Scandinavia, Ansgar returned to
Germany where he was named bishop of Hamburg. He is remembered for
his love for poor people.

Tuesday, February 5, 2019
Christianity was brought to Japan in the sixteenth century by Jesuit and
Franciscan missionaries. The religion was suppressed, however, and in
1597 twenty-six missionaries and converts were crucified. Nevertheless,
Christianity survived and later prospered.
