Planes

Shooting at their enemies like a crossbow on a bullseye,

Crackling through the night,
Swooping down on their pray.

People scared, people dead,

But nothing is there,
Buildings fall like an avalanche.

They’re coming,
But nothing can be resolved,
There closer,
It’s about time,
There here again.

The Siren
There the siren goes again,
A warning of death to all men,
Deadly planes fly up high,
Dropping bombs in the fire-lit sky,
Children walk to the rusty train,
Why do they have to feel this pain?
Toddlers run, suitcase in hand,
Unaware what’s happening to our land?
Fire dances across the floor,
Bombs await at every door,
Now the gates of hell are open,
Desperate boats sail across the miserable ocean,
Bullets whistle and scream,
Please tell it’s all a bad dream,
I wish we could go back to when Hitler was unknown,
Happiness would be spread to every home,
There the siren goes again,
Death has come to millions of men.

World War II
The storming planes roaming the sky,
Bombs crashing down from the nasty Germans,
Soldiers fight each other in terror,
War!

Buildings crash down to the ground,

I hear crying and groaning,
You can hear the bangs from all of the bombs,
The end!

Now from the army,

We are victorious again,
We pray for the people who died in war,
It’s done!

The day of darkness and sadness...

The bombs flashing from the sky,
As more people begin to cry,
As we see little children being fed,
Now we only see them drop dead.

Houses flattened to the floor,

We don't know if we can stand much more,
Hope is fading as German planes roar,
Now we see people injured on the floor.

Bombs exploding in emotion,

Why do we go through the commotion?
Evacuees come on rusty trains,
Why can I feel the old pain?

Now sirens scream,

Please tell me this isn’t a dream,
Somehow St. Paul’s cathedral did not fall,
Maybe god is on our side after all,
All it was, a rollercoaster of sadness...

AIR RAID
Another air raid in the sky
Dropping bombs at goodbye
Suddenly the air goes wild
Sirens screeching like a child.

Bombs are going boom

Death is begging to loom
Buildings to the crumble to the ground
Ash and dust all to be found.

Trains call children to a safe place

A new home with a friendly face
Destruction all that’s left behind
Forgiveness now we must find.

A War Zone
The cities were smiling
Just like a free child
The shooting sirens - sending a warning
A war zone.

Next, the buildings started to shiver

The crafty planes were coming in like a group of racing cheetahs
They loaded themselves up with bombs - the war really began
A war zone.

Then, BANG - the bombs came in to play

Shaking sights just like the sun was being shot
Bombs free-falling out of planes -blinking bombs going off
A war zone.

CRASH! The screeching children

The fearsome fire decided to play
Stop this war! Even our strongest buildings have had a bad day
A war zone.

The Blitz
People scream- children crying,
Pushing people into their houses,
‘Quick everyone to safety,
Help!

The planes fly as fast as a cheetah,

Hovering over the land you see,
Falling down goodbye planes,
Crash!

The dropped bombs scream as they touch the floor,

Flaming bombs are as angry as a tornado,
The land destroyed by one thousand bombs,
Danger!

Broken buildings crashing down,

Children sobbing in pain,
Strong buildings still surviving,
The Blitz!

Hell from above

Hell from above, planes looking to devour,
Observing the ground like a hawk,
Perishable planes with a deadly load,
Destructive planes destroyed our home.

Hell from above, bombs whistling,

Hungry for destruction,
Like meteors plummeting to the ground,
They won’t leave us alone.

Hell from above, buildings crumbling,

Sirens screech, hope fading,
The city cries silently as it dies-gone,
Children crying “I want to go home!”

Hell from above, pitch-black skies,

Hell from above, everyone cries,
Hell from above, wildlife dies,
Hell from above, death flies.

By Alex
Cackling planes, swarm in the sky,
Bombs descend- falling from a high,
Buildings crumble in the bright, daylight,
The war doesn’t end, even at night.

Sirens screech, giving a warning,

And everyday people are mourning,
Like a raging tornado, feel its fiery wrath,
Devouring objects, anything in its path.

Children’s cries drowned out by the war,

Why would they do this? No benefit, what for?
Evacuees say their sorrowful goodbyes,
The sadness, even visible in their eyes.

Debris is sprawled across the floor,

When hell came knocking at the door,
No buildings left,
Now everyone’s distressed,
It’s over.

The worst years of my life

The worst years of my life,
Coming at us like a knife,
First it was all quiet and calm,
Then suddenly there was an alarm,
Then the Germans started attacking,
And all the children started packing,
The planes soared like a bird in the air,
It all gave us quite a scare,
Sirens screamed like children wailing in pain,
Bombs whistled - exploding again and again,
People fleeing,
Sirens screeching,
Then it stopped,
But still buildings dropped,
The worst years of my life.

The nightmare
Here planes rumble angry and loud like a hungry predator in the cloud,
Air raid shelters, damp and black,
Bombs exploding back to back,
Lives are ending the world it too,
Time to say good bye to you,
Evacuees are on the train,
To some were with no pain,
Won’t be long till we go again.

By Eva

As planes were ready to set the bombs,

The screechy sirens went of,
Everybody ran to the hide out,
The bombs started coming down,
AAARRREEE screamed the people,

Everybody was hiding,

The bombs were falling down,
They are about to hit,

Bang,
The bombs only left,
One building and a,
Half of one house,
The living village was destroyed.

By Jay

The city was hustling and bustling,

Some people looking at the sky,
Working away as busy as bee,
Night time came peacefully.

I woke up in the morning,

The sirens were screaming,
Flames were surrounding,
The sky turning red like blood.

By Joshua
The Blitz,
Children happy,
Screaming sirens disturbing,
Letting out a terrible warning,

Planes,
Like a soaring bird in the black air,
Bombs,
Are whistling a tune of fire,
Houses crumble like a stale biscuit,

At their doors a bomb awaits,

Hiding in my bomb shelter,
Please just tell me it is a bad dream!

The Air Raid

First, the sirens screeched and screamed,
Warning people to leave immediately,
People running here and there,
As the sirens wail again and again.

Next, planes swarm through the pitch-black sky,

Bringing fear from afar,
Flying through the air like bees,
Ready to kill.

Then bombs fall from the sky,

Whistling like teenagers,
Bang, the bomb hits the ground,
All the happiness in the world —gone.

Finally,
The air raid is over until another day.

Sacrificing Death
Out of nowhere,
Crying planes shedding tears,
Making bombs in round spheres,
Children are weeping,
When the sirens are screeching.

Suddenly,
Buildings crash land like a plane,
The bombs drop again and again,
We mustn’t forget those who died,
And some of us wept and cried.

Then,
This terrible war has finally ended,
Too much damage-it couldn’t be mended,
This very bad person who started the war,
Must leave this city through the door,
Sacrificing Death.

WORLD AT WAR
Black bombs jumping out of planes,
Plummeting to the ground,
100 mph about to make contact,
BANG!!!

Silver submarines underwater,

Submarines shooting missiles at boats,
Boats falling on their sides,
SPLASH!!!

Artillery shooting planes into the sky,

Planes being shot out of the sky by tanks,
Just like plate shooting,
WAR!!!

By Robbie
The planes were racing though the sky,
People yelling and children crying,
Black bombs smirked menacingly,

Children were being as quit as a mouse,

Bombs fall to the ground,
Plans like eagles soaring through the sky,

Bombs as black as Cole,

Children getting onto the rusty old train,
No clue what’s going on?

The terror fall

The bombs fell like sobbing children,
Spitting on the earth like bullies,
Their fire dancing on the once happy streets.

The planes flew over the murky sea,

Holding terror in the back,
Flying in the sky like a flock of birds,
Terror fall.

Children crying - saying their goodbyes,

Parents hopelessly let their dear children go,
The trains rush out of distance,
Terror fall.

War Demon
Here they come the cackle of spitfires strike fear into humanity’s heart,
The shattering noise of buildings going from one to a million,
All that’s left destruction.
Planes they came
Like angry tornadoes,
Bombs they dropped,
Sirens plead in pain,
Children squeal,
People come out of their now destroyed shelters,
The Demon has come.

By Zane
Air raid shelter, black and gloomy,
Bombs crash, people dash,

Flying predators prowling the sky,

Whistling bombs drop from ahead,
We should not forget are land,
Where buildings once stood so tall and proud,

Screeching sirens up ahead,

Evacuees have fled,
Gone to live in some strange place,
From the war

The Blitz
Silence,
The screeching sirens flood the country,
Evacuee vacate.

Panic,
Cracking panes soar through the sky,
Like a swarm of angry bees.

BANG!
Flames dance for miles and miles,
Looking for its next victim,
Grabbing everything in its path.

Barren,
The news has spread- Churchill finally cheers,
Families are re-united,
The Blitz is over.

The Storm of Death
Screeching sirens,
Crying like a new-born baby,
Screaming and warning,
Sirens crying, alarming.

Bang!
Bombs destroying the ground,
Girls and boys are hiding like their teddies,
Billions of bombing whistling.

Planes cackling like evil witches,

Planes crying shedding tears,
Fire exploding like a volcano,
The Storm of death.

Ruined
Happiness in the air,
Streets aren’t bare,
Children playing, having fun,
Delicious cooking by mum.

Suddenly, screaming sirens begin to start,

Hear peoples’ racing hearts,
Beams lighting up the dark, cloudy sky,
Innocent people start to die.
“Get the gas mask,” one mother said,
Sadly their father is dead,
Like the screeching sirens people screamed,
Then only silence screamed,
It seemed quiet
GONE…
Ruined.

By Breana
The air raid
Happy people laughing and caring,
They could go anywhere,
Children playing as the sun giggles,
Then crying sirens,
It’s an air raid,
Children cry like new born babies,
Parents screaming,
It’s an air raid,
Adults saying good bye to their children,
As they go to a safe place,
It’s an air raid,
Bomb whistling soaring,
Crash!
Black as night- screeching bombs,
Will it ever end? Come on,
Chucking plane soaring like birds of prey
It’s an air raid,
Building rebuilt as they finally see light.

The World’s Worst Nightmare

Humans happy, the smiles on their face,
With nice fresh air blowing on their head,
But this changed their mood.

Bombs are whistling a tune of darkness,

Houses crumbling as humans turn hopeless,
But the bombs turn their ray of sunshine.

Guns are shooting as fast as you can run,

Bombs are laughing as fire spreads rapidly,
People are burning and screaming,
Hoping it would end,
But they know it’s the start,

Planes fly over their head,

As they drop more bombs,
The will be written as the world’s worst nightmare.

NIGHT TIME CRIME
Peaceful night, evil flight,
“Shoot the planes!” they screamed,
But artillery can’t do much to flame bearing bombs.
BOOM!
Planes screech like babies,
And bombs ravage the land like fearless lions,
Citizens have fled the streets,
But nothing could stop this nighttime crime.

Silent,
Screaming sirens cry helplessly,
Like a new born baby crying,
Cackling planes fly overhead,

Suddenly,
Leaping fire overhead,
Searching for land,
War.

Now,
Death has come,
To millions of men.

Silence
Children playing, people laughing
Fresh, clean air everywhere

Bang
Flying bombs
Evil black bombs destroying everything they can find
Sirens screaming like a child crying in distress
Like a lions roar they explode
Danger!

Then
Horrid cackling planes up above
People screaming in pain, “Help!”
Oh why, oh why is it us?
Trying to find their family around
Flames dancing from one place to another.

Next
Innocent buildings getting devoured
Buildings crying as bombs land on their fragile heads
Sirens screeching, women with blue dresses weeping
Flying bombs!
