Three General Areas:

Deputize law enforcement agencies
Register political parties, organizations or coalitions, accredit citizens’ arms File petitions in court for the inclusion or exclusion of voters Recommend measures to minimize election spending Recommend removal of officer or employee and submit comprehensive report Powers and Functions of COMELEC under Omnibus Election Code (OEC) Exclusive charge of the enforcement and administration of all laws for the purpose of ensuring free, orderly, credible and honest election.
