Note to the educator

We have such a great hope and promise in our future with our Lord. Let those who have ears,
listen! Don’t you wish it was that easy in class? Wouldn’t it be a great call to acIon to address
Y

our students with, “You who have ears, listen!” We can all use some pracIce listening. Students
need to listen to the lessons of their teachers more. Teachers need to listen for the needs of
their students beNer. As colleagues, we need to listen for how we can serve. All in all, listening
needs pracIce. Make it a point today to noIce how well you are listening. Begin with yourself
A

to see if you need any pracIce. Try to form no comebacks when your colleagues are telling
their side of a story and see if it’s possible to just listen. Listening may be one of the greatest
peacemaking tools we can uIlize in our school communiIes.
