Conceptualizing Childcare Policy: A Socio-Economic Developmental Approach

Abstract

Child care in the policy context is a significant issue that confronts directly to the impacting
attribute in an overall scheme of the maternal and child care policy to which the socio-economic
governance structures had developed mixed responses in past. Studies at hand have displayed
a high level of micro as well as macro level attributions to the child care policy through various
horizontal and longitudinal levels, but none of them could be perceived as an integrated
approach which leads to wanting for further study over child care as subject matter from a
policy angle. In the context of observations presented, the sphere of the study was kept broad
furthering a macro level analytical methodology deciphering the policy measures taken at the
global level across transcontinental realms.

Childcare have been highly regarded as the subject matter of the concern ‘child’ would also be
a national asset and hence inclusive protection and guided support is prerequisite in the said
context. Emphasis has been provided with the child-specific indicators relative to the
sustainable development goals like health and psychological factors among others that affects
directly or incidentally the child care and hence foremost focus has been placed upon the
relevancy of various sub-indicators that contribute as key actors for stimulating the child care
policy, though may not be directly attached to it one of which was employability of the parents
affecting the child care in general.

Thus upon reaching the conclusion in the paper, a theoretical framework has been drawn with
the India specific outcome that leads towards building highly adaptive and correlative
exhibitions of the possible actions.
