Rhonda has been the driver behind the UAS Reading Olympics program since her rival, and without a doubt she is personally responsible for geting more books into the hands of our Students. Seas transformed the MS/HS library into a staden-centeed leaning environment that daily ‘serves hundreds of students, staff and parents. ‘She was one ofthe founding members ofthe Task Force that was instrumental in ereatng daily reading ‘rogram within the Middle School. As a member ofthis team, Rhonda was a positive collaborator and 8 good listener, She was the driving fore behind the purchase of a large sized “lawn” chess set, which i now located within the library. Rhonda sponsored and hosted divisional student and teacher chess toumaments. She provides book talks to grade level groups, she regularly collaborates with teachers in ‘order to help them integrate resources into class units, and she teaches research and library skills. Rhonda has consistently offered her services to teachers asa resource to help improve thei classroom instruction. She has organized studenv staff participation in author visits both on our campus and within the cty of Dob. Rhonda is approachable, and she is eager to assist staff members and students in any way she posibly can, Rhonda is rendly, kind and she has a positive attude. Sudents and staff find her approachable and helpful. She has good reason tobe proud ofthe learning space she has created inthe Middle School/High School Liber at UAS.
