Yacimiento Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos is the oldest Company in Bolivia.

It was founded in 21th December 1936, in the government of Colonel David Toro.

Month more later, the government decided to expel from the country for oil smuggling to the
company Standar Oil, this was the first nationalization.

During the 40´ decades, Gualberto Villarroel president invested for the construction of a refinery
and an oil pipeline, for commercialization of the oil petroleum.

In the 60´decades, unfortunately the company had debts with other countries, because, it was
necessary investment in exploration and drilling.

In the 70´ decades, the government promulgated the General Hydrocarbons Law that defines the
framework of the new operating contracts.

And Finally in the capitalization process with Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada president in 1996, the
company and subsidiary went bankrupt, it was acquired by Andina, chaco, Petrobras and
transredes.

But, YPFB still exists today, because in the 1th May 2006 with Evo Morales President, who
Nationalizes hydrocarbons regaining ownership for Bolivians.

The 21th December 2016, the company was 80 years.
