Dear Colleagues
Dr. B. Lal Institute of Biotechnology welcomes you to attend ONE-DAY NATIONAL
WORKSHOP ON 'BIOINFORMATICS AND COMPUTER AIDED DRUG DESIGNING
(Bioinfo-CADD 2019)” in Jaipur on 28th February, 2019. This workshop will provide
training on Computer Aided Drug Designing to students, researchers and
professionals from all over India from the industry and academia.

About The Workshop

One of the most praising task of life science researchers is to serve mankind by providing
cure to diseases. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to identify drug target protein and
its potent inhibitor that can be translated into drug. Computer Aided Drug Designing is
an effective tool to bridge the gap between demand and supply of new drug. Also it is
cost effective as well as less time consuming. The objective of this workshop is to
demonstrate the basic in-silico tools of Computer Aided Drug Designing through guided
training.

Invited Speaker
Dr. Ajit Kumar - He is an Assistant Professor in Center for
Bioinformatics - Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. He
has more than a decade long experience of bioinformatics
and computational biology research and teaching. His core
domains of research are Computer Aided Drug Designing,
QSAR, Cheminformatics and Computational Chemistry. He
has published good research and guided multiple research
students.

Invited Speaker
Dr. Prashanth N Suravajhala - He is currently working
as Research Scientist, Systems Biology, Department of
Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, Birla Institute of Scientific
Research (BISR), Jaipur, India. He has done Ph.D. from Aalborg
University, Denmark and has seven years of post doctoral
experience, sabbatical visits in various laboratories before
taking up the current position. He mentors students online
through Bioclues. His interests are to study protein-protein
interactions and top-down systems biology of hypothetical proteins, long noncoding
RNAs in human, focusing on mitochondrial proteins. Besides this, he is an
opportunist helper in providing bioinformatics/systems solutions to scientists in
other allied fields.
