The architectural arm of Ireland's multi-discipli-
nary PM Group works mainly in Britain, central
and eastern Europe and the Middle East where it
has been finding Saudi Arabia a particularly strong
market. Its biggest sectors are healthcare, educa-
tion and the private seetor.
It picks up work from its parent company in the
biopharma sector (where clients include GSK); in
advance manufacture for IT firms such as Apple;
and in food production (Coca-Cola).
The financial crisis holds no fear for PM Group,
which was founded in Cork during the recession of
the early 1970s. Its first clients came from a 10-mile
radius and PM and Devereux have gradually
expanded round the world by following them.
Some of Devereux's current projects include a
radiotherapy facility at Poole Hospital; a motorway
serviee station in Surrey; a primary school near its
Putney office; and a £45 million neuroscience
institute in south-east London.
Meanwhile its redevelopment and extension of
Frimley Park Hospital's A&E department in Surrey
won praise from education secretary and local MP
Michael Gove.
Its apparent grovrth and move up the rankings is
explained by the fact that Devereux did not record
NETDA appointed Devereux to prepare a masterplan for a 186ha lifescience hub in Nantong, China.
its foreign-based architects last year.
