ABSTRACT

RELATIONSHIP WITH hyperemesis gravidarum PSYCHOLOGICAL FACTORS IN


PREGNANT WOMEN IN HOSPITAL Ciremai YEAR 2013

Nausea and vomiting are common symptoms in approximately 50% to 80% of all
pregnancies. This condition is commonly called "morning sickness". However at 0.05% - 2%
on all pregnancies can occur severe nausea and vomiting, the condition is often referred to as
hyperemesis gravidarum, with a prevalence of 1% to 3% or 5-20 cases per 1000 pregnancies.

This study aims to identify the causes of psychological factors in pregnant women with
hyperemesis gravidarum, psychological picture in pregnant women, the incidence of
hyperemesis gravidarum and psychological relations pregnant women with hyperemesis
gravidarum in Ciremai Cirebon City Hospital in 2013.

This study is cross-sectional, while the data collection is based on primary data source,
obtained from the study site that all pregnant women in Cirebon City Hospital Ciremai the
100 pregnant women.

Get the results of that research in the psychology of stress on all pregnant women is 97.0%
Stress Light, Medium 3.0%, 0.0% weight. While psychological stress in mothers with
hyperemesis gravidarum is Stress Lightweight 0.0%, 33.3% Medium, Heavy 0.0%.

The conclusion that can be drawn from this study that the relationship with the Psychological
Factors Stress Stress Not Hyperemesis Gravidarum Lightweight 97.0%, 3.0% Medium,
Heavy 0.0%. While the relationship of psychological factors in women with hyperemesis
gravidarum stess Stress Lightweight ie 0.0%, 33.3% Medium, Heavy 0.0%. Advice
specifically for midwives is to further improve the midwife midwifery care services
especially for the prevention of cases of hyperemesis gravidarum as early as possible.
