Review of Related Literature

The word “Populism” is one of the styles of a politicians in the election but based on the study of

Kors Visscher named Populism from Left or Right the word Populism is a concept of Democracy,

because based on his Populist democracy “If the people is the only or ultimate source of legitimate

power, nothing can hold power over the people.” (Visscher, 2017) Therefore, a populist politician

will used this as a source of strategy, they will make the people believe that the government has a

problem and they are also affected of that problem, they will tell the people that they are of them

suffering from the government.
