Indicator 1: Converse appropriately to request and offering help or thing about
themselves’ in various matter and various situations in their daily life.
1. Concept: Request is an act of asking politely or formally for something.
When people do request it means they need other people’s help. Agreeing is consent
to do something that has been suggested by another person. It sometime happens
when people discussing something or simply ask you about her/ his idea. Refusing
indicate or show that one is willing to do something. It also happen in the discussing
situation or simply ask you about her/ his idea. Offering is a thing offered, it can be as
a gift or contribution. Accepting is consent to receive a thing offered.
2. Objectives:
2.1 Terminal objective: Students should be able to use and make expression of
request and offering.
2.2 Behavioral objectives:
Students should be able to:
2.2.1 Pronounce new expressions and sentences about making and responding
to request and offering.
2.2.2 Use words and sentences about making and responding of request&
offering expressions in conversation correctly.
2.2.3 Talk about making and responding request & offering expressions in
many areas through information gap task.

Making requests:

Using want to get people to do something. (Want + Object Noun/ Pronoun +
Infinitive)

4. Teaching and Learning Procedures


4.1 Pre-task
4.1.1 The teacher asks the student to turn of the fan, or clean the board, or
anything as request as brain storming. For example: Can you turn off the fan?.
4.2 Task Preparation
4.2.1The teacher teaches new vocabulary and words to the express request and
offering by writing on the board and asking students to repeat the words after
the teacher.
“First, I’d like you to listen carefully and repeat after me…”

4.2.2 The teacher and the students discuss together about the meaning of new
vocabulary.
4.2.3 The teacher teaches how to make and respond the expression of request and

4.3 Task Realization


4.3.1 The teacher ask the students to be in pairs.
4.3.2 The teacher prepare worksheet, then ask student by their absent number
to come forward and practice in front of the class or, if there are any volunteer
they can practice directly.
4.3.3 The teacher listen and check the student pronunciation and ask the other
students if there are any wrong pronunciation word also tell them how to
pronounce it.

4.4 Post-task
4.4.1 The teacher and students discuss about what happen in the conversation.
4.4.2 The teacher ask the students which one is include in request and offering
expression.
4.4.3 Then the teacher ask to the students about the structure of request and
offering expression that already found.
4.4.4 The teacher and the students review and summarize about the material that
already given today.
