Individual Assignment – International Business – Batch 2018-20

The following individual assignment has to be submitted on or before Monday, March 4,


2020 (2 pm)

Analyse the assigned company w.r.t the following:

- Brief on the Company’s international/ global initiatives including


o products/ services and
o marketing approach
- Porter’s value chain (refer Chapter 12)
- Type of strategy used (refer Chapter 12)
- Global entry decisions & strategy (refer Chapter 15)

Guidelines:
1. The assignment should be an analysis and application of concepts (as referred in relevant
chapters of International Business – By John Daniels et al)
2. The assignment must be typed in Word document, A4 size page layout, Times New Roman
12 font with 1.5 line spacing with 2.5 cm margin on all sides.
3. The cover page should be as per the format attached.
4. The assignment should be minimum 800 words and maximum 1500 words (3 – 6 pages in
the font/ style prescribed). The assignment can include models, diagrams and appropriate
figures (if any). In all, the assignment must not exceed 6 pages.
5. The assignment should be checked for plagiarism in Drillbit plagiarism software and the
certificate of the same should also be included.
6. The assignment must be submitted as hard copy before 2 pm on March 4, 2019 at PGDM
office. The hardcopy need to be only stapled and no stick folder to be used.
7. The sources that have been referred must be given at the end under “Bibliography”. For
website references, exact web link has to be provided.
8. Plagiarism (including copy pasting from the net and one student copying from the other)
will result in the student(s) assignment being rejected outright and student losing the
entire marks for assignment.

This assignment will have a weightage of 10 marks and assessment will be based on originality
of work, analysis, appropriate content, application of concepts, use of models and charts and
adherence to the guidelines.
