S. Arul Lawrence ABSTRACT: The present study aims to probe the relationship betw adopted survey method. Population ‘een school environment and study skills of IX standard students. The investigator has X students of Cheranmahadevi Educational for the present study consists of the standard I District. The investigator has used simple random technique for selecting sample of different categories from the population. The sample consists of 276 students from different schools in Cheranmahadevi Educational District. The investigator used School Environment Inventory (SEI) by Lawrence, Arul (2012) and Study. Skills Checklist developed by group of professors in Virginia University, USA (2000) for the data collection. For analyzing the collected data, the investigator used mean, SD, 't' test, ANOVA, and Pearson's product moment correlation. The findings show that (i) the level of IX standard students in their school environment and study skills are moderate (ii) , there is significant correlation between the school environment perceived by IX standard students and their study skills.
