MUSIC WRITING, ARRANGING, AND TRANSCRIPTION

reply to Dr.Virg at vtsai@sbc.edu.sg. This will help her plan her teaching schedule better.

1. Can you improvise an accompaniment on an accompanying instrument such as

keyboard, piano, or guitar? (Yes, piano)

2. Do you play by ear? (No)

3. Have you composed or arranged

3.1. A congregational song? (Yes, but I do not have a sound file or score)
3.2. A choral piece? (No)
3.3. A solo vocal or instrumental work? (No)

If you answered yes to any of the above, please attach a sound file or score of your
best representative work for each.

4. Do you notate your songs/arrangements/compositions by hand, by recording, or by

using a notation software (e.g., Sibelius, Finale; state which software you use)?

I usually used Finale when it came to writing notes.
