Narrative Report on the Profile of the office

The Municipality of Mayoyao, Ifugao was created by virtue of


Executive Order No. 42 dated June 24, 1964. It is located north of Manila
and comprised approximately 36, 628.7586 hectares of land mostly
devoted to agriculture, its present population was reported at 12, 240 at
the end of 2012.

The Municipality is envisioned to be a model for public health and


safety, environmental preservation and good governance, providing
equal opportunity for all its constituents in a peaceful, friendly
atmosphere through a God centered leadership of the incumbent elected
officials.

The Municipality was awarded for three consecutive years from


2012 to 2014 a seal of Good Housekeeping by the Department of Interior
and Local Government. This was due to the Municipality’s compliance
with the full disclosure policy of Local budgets and finances, bids and
public offerings; and accounting and auditing standards, rules and
regulations. The Municipality was also a recipient of the Red Orchid award
by the Department of Health due to the Municipality’s implementation of
the 100% Tabacco-Free Environment. The Mayoyao Accounting office has
its own Mission, Vision, Mandate and Organizational Outcome

Mandate: Take charge of both Accounting and Internal audit services of


Local Government Unit (LGU).
Vision: We envision the Office of the Municipal Accountant as a
group of employees who are innovative, resourceful and
helpful in facilitating the accountability of the LGU’s
resources.
Mission: To accurately report the financial position of the LGU to its
constituencies.

Organizational Outcome: Efficient and effective Accounting and Internal


Audit System.
