Pipe 2 -- Total Two number of Pipe
OD=0 .80, L= 2 M

= 5.024X2 = 10.048 M2

C) Surface area of the Engine

L= 0.820 M, B = 1.4 M, H = .60 M
= 2(LXB + LXH + BXH)
= 2 [(.82X1.4 + .820X.60 + 1.4X0.60)]
= 4.96 M2

D) Surface area of the Motor

L= 2 M , OD=0 .620 M
Area= πDL + 2πR2
= 4.497 M2

E) Base frame of the DG Set- Total two frame

L= 5 M, B = 0.780 M
Area = 2( LXB)
= 7.8 M2
= 2X 7.8= 15.6 M2

F) Diesel Tank for DG Set

L= 1.8 M, B = 0.950 M, H = 0.950 M
= 2(LXB + LXH + BXH)
= 2 [(1.8X.95 + 1.8X.95 + .95X.95)]
= 8.645 M2
G) Discharge pipe of DG Set
Total two pipe for one DG Set

There was heavy steam leakage in MS strainer(RHS Side) in unit-2.Due to this MS steam
leakage from strainer,day to day maintenance of various equipments in surrounding
areas was very dangerous and also not safe for men & equipments.So for ensuring the
safety of men and machines, leakage from MS strainer has been attended during the
opportunity shutdown of unit-2 from 26/01/19 to 27/01/19 in emergency.All leakages
have been arrested successfully from MS strainer.

During running of unit it has been observed that there has been leakage through both
HRH stariners. Due to this leakage huge amount of MS steam has been wasted. After
dismantling of insulations,it has been found that there were cracks around the both
strainers.So it was very obvious to weld these cracks to arrest the leakage at the
earliest.
