INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES

1.0 ABOUT US:

National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training & Research (NITTTR), Bhopal, is


one of the premier Institution established by Government of India, Ministry of Human
Resource Development in the year 1965 to meet the challenges of providing
professionally qualified teachers in Polytechnics and Engineering Colleges. Besides
teacher training through long and short term courses, the Institute caters to the
widely diversified needs of the Polytechnics and Engineering Colleges in the States
of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa and the Union
Territories of Daman, Div and Dadara & Nagar Haveli. It is an autonomous
organization, fully funded by Government of India and managed by a Board of
Governors appointed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government
of India.
i) The service of the Institute is not a Government Service. The Institute is
governed by the rules and regulation of the Society in force from time to time.
ii) Appointment to the posts are made on temporary basis in the first instance.
Dearness and other allowances at par with Central Government are
admissible as sanctioned from time to time. Benefit of GPF-cum-Pension-
cum-Gratuity, Leave Travel Concession and Medical facilities are also
admissible as per rules of the Institute in force from time to time. New
Pension Scheme (NPS) is applicable in respect of newly recruits.
iii) Counting of past services for the purpose of pensionary benefits as per rules
is permissible. Benefits of added years of service for pension on the basis of
Rule 30 of CS Pension Rules are also permissible for the posts of faculty.
iv) Higher initial pay may be considered in the case of specially qualified and
experienced candidates. Candidates not found adequately suitable for the
prescribed pay scale can be offered a lower scale/post, if found otherwise
suitable.
v) The qualifications can be relaxed by the Selection Committee/Competent
Authority for the candidates having recognized professional work of high
standard at National/International level.
vi) Relaxation in maximum age limit will be allowed up to 5 years in the case of
SC/ST candidates and 3 years in the case of candidates belonging to Other
Backward Classes. The persons with disabilities shall be allowed relaxation in
age as per DOPT OM dated 29/12/2005.

2.0 INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING UP AND SUBMITTING FORMS:

2.1 The applications should be addressed to the Director, National Institute of


Technical Teachers' Training & Research, Shanti Marg, Shamla Hills, Bhopal
so as to reach on or before the prescribed closing date in the advertisement.
The application should be sent by post or given in person in the office on all
working days (Monday to Friday) between 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The
candidates are, however, advised in their own interest to send the
applications by Speed-Post, Registered AD, if sent by post. The application
form should accompany the documents noted below duly arranged in the
following order:
a) Postal Order for the amount mentioned in this leaflet.
b) The "APPLICATION FORM"
c) The Evidence of Age
d) The Evidence of Educational Qualifications
e) The Evidence of Experience, if any
f) Certificate of Caste for Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe or Other
Backward Classes candidates and Disability.

g) Other documents or documents (if any) asked for in the advertisement or
in the instructions.
2.2 Any change of address given in Col. 2 of the application form should be
communicated immediately to the Director, NITTTR, Bhopal. The Institute
makes every effort to take account of changes in candidates address but will
not hold any responsibility in this matter. If possible candidate should provide
e-mail ID also so that they can get information well in time.
2.3 Candidates who apply for more than one post should submit separate
applications. In all communications the name of the post, advertisement and
item number of the post should be clearly stated otherwise they will not be
attended to.

2.4 Details of the Documents are given as under:


i) A Crossed Post Order/Bank Draft for the amount of Rs. 500/- on
account of the application fee (non-refundable) must be sent. The
Postal Order/Bank Draft should be drawn in favour of Accounts Officer,
NITTTR, Bhopal and should be payable at Bhopal. The candidates
belonging to Schedule Castes and Scheduled Tribes and PWDs are
exempted from payment of the application fee.
ii) The Application Form: While filling up the form, the candidate should
strike off portions which do not apply in his/her case. If the space in
any column is insufficient attach a continuation sheet or sheets, to the
form and give particulars thereon.
iii) Evidence of Age: please send a duly attested copy of the High School/
Higher Secondary School Certificate as evidence of age.
iv) Evidence of Educational Qualification: The candidates should furnish
attested copies of testimonials from employers if any, will suffice for
this purpose.
v) Evidence of Experience: Attested copies of testimonials from
employer, if any, will suffice for this purpose.
vi) Certificate from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, Other
Backward Classes & Disability only: In case the candidate belonging
to SC/ST/OBC/Disability he/she should attach the attested copy of the

certificate from District Magistrate/Collector or other competent
authority under his/her official seal.
3.0 The Candidate need not submit any certificate in original. The Institute does
not take responsibility for returning any certificate. The candidate will of-
course be required to bring original certificates while attending the Interview if
called for.
3.1 A candidate found guilty of impersonation or submitting fabricated document
or documents which have been tampered with or of making statements which
are incorrect or false or suppressing material information will be disqualified
and if appointed will be liable for dismissal. In addition(s) he/she is liable to
criminal prosecution.

4.0 The Institute will make a preliminary selection on the basis of the material/
information furnished by the candidates with the application. The possession
of the minimum qualifications prescribed will not automatically entitle a
candidate to be called for the test or interview. The summoning of a candidate
for test/interview merely indicates that the institute considers the applicant
eligible and stand an equal chance of being selected as other applicant called
for interview.
5.0 Any candidate who fails to deposit the application fee, or to appear for a
personal interview, if any, if called upon by the Institute to do so, may not be
considered for appointment.
6.0 Candidates called for interview for the post carrying pay shall be paid 2nd AC
Railway Fare on production of ticket number or tickets, as the case may be by
shortest route. The places not connected by rail, actual bus fare shall be paid
on production of ticket.
7.0 Persons already in service, permanent or temporary, must apply Through
Proper Channel. The bank draft/bankers cheque/IPO for application fee be
sent along with "Advance Copy" only.
8.0 The application fee will not be refunded in any circumstance.
9.0 The application form once submitted by a candidate for a particular post will
not be accepted for a different post afterwards. It would be the responsibility
of the candidate to see that his/her applications are dispatched so as to reach
the office of the Institute on or before the closing date prescribed for the

receipt of the applications. If the application is delayed until the last date, the
candidate will do so at his/her own risk. Applications received after the closing
date prescribed for receipt of applications are liable to be summarily rejected
and no appeal against the rejection will be entertained.
10.0 Canvassing in any form before or after the submission of the application will
disqualify a candidate.
11.0 No interim enquiries about the applications/result will be attended to. The
Institute does not enter into any correspondence with the candidates about
reasons for their non-selection for interview/appointment.
12.0 Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they
possess at least the essential qualifications prescribed for the post. It is for
candidates themselves to ensure that they satisfy the prescribed
requirements. They are also informed that in case of receipt of large number
of applications for any post, the Institute reserves the right to raise the
minimum norms for the post suitably so as to restrict the number of
candidates to be called for interview at a reasonable level.
13.0 Failure to comply with any of the directions given in this leaflet may result in
the rejection of the application by the Institute.
14.0 Candidates selected may be posted either at Headquarters at Bhopal or any
of its Extension Centre Raipur, Ahmedabad, Porvorim (Goa) and Pune
depending on the requirement or transferred to any of the above places.
15.0 The Institute reserves the right to accept or reject and to alter the number of
posts, to fill or not to fill any or all the posts and to call or not to call the
candidates for interview, without assigning any reasons.
