World War 1 Class Timeline Assignment

There are many important people, events, and social changes that played roles in the
outcomes of WW1, with this assignment you will take your research to the Internet to find
support for a key term listed below. Everyone will find two sources and include their
findings to our physical timeline in the classroom.

What are primary and secondary sources?

Primary sources are materials that are eyewitness accounts or as close to the original
source as possible. They come from someone who experienced the event first hand.

Secondary sources are interpretations and analyses based on primary sources.

For example, an autobiography is a primary source while a biography is a secondary source.

Your task is to find 1 PRIMARY source and 1 SECONDARY source on an event from the
WW1 that supports their significance to the timeline of WW1.

Once you have found your sources you may design a physical means of presentation and hang them
on the timeline in the class. If you have a video or sound clip, or anything you may have trouble
presenting in physical form simply include the link and share them with your teacher so that they
may prepare the research you found to share with the class.
