Phillip Picquet, Please consider this my application for the 7-12 principal position at Perkins County Schools. Tam in the process of completing my 7-12 Principalship at Concordia University and will obtain my provisional endorsement in June of 2019 with an expected graduation date of June 2020. I completed my undergraduate degree at Hastings College in business education and business administration. Based on my research, I feel that my experience and skills are a great fit to be your 7-12 Principal. During the past seven years, I have had the oppostuaity to perform many roles in my school disttict and community. I have been the 7-12 business teacher, FBLA advisor, and coach of multiple sports. Through these roles I have greatly enhanced my organizational skills by prioritizing various duties and responsibilities. Additionally, these roles have allowed me to create strong positive relationships with those around me. Beyond my duties as a 7-12 business teacher and FBLA advisor, I have worked as the athletic/activities director for six years, ‘two years in Stapleton and four years in Blue Hill. Through this experience, 1 have gained valuable skills in communication and the ability to adapt and adjust to any situation. ‘The ability to communicate effectively is extremely helpful with students, parents, community supporters, and other staff members, This opportunity has also given me the chance to become an active ‘member of my community. I volunteer my time to help officiate, sun clock, and even coach youth sports. Furthermore, this position has enabled me to gain a strong working knowledge of time management. ‘The combination of these skills makes me a valuable asset to your school district and community During my time in education, I have gained a knowledge and passion for servant leadership. I strongly feel that all leaders ‘must build up their osgunization and most importantly those around them to be successful. I strive to use my knowledge and skills to empower those individuals that I work with to create a strong sense of pride and passion for their careers on a daily basis. I believe that I have embodied this through the many professional relationships that I have established the past seven years aceoss the state of Nebraska. Finally, after working in two rural school districts and living in these communities, I have grown to love small town Nebraska, ‘This is one of the many reasons I wish to be your 7-12 Principal. I understand what it means to be not only a part of a school istrict, bur also an active member of the community. To me, an educator's involvement in his or her community is what ‘makes rusal school districts so unique. 1am very interested in working with staff and students within your school district that are committed to high standards in education.
