LOCATION:
Piura is located in the north of Peru, very near to Ecuador. The city is
famous for its beaches and seafood

HABITANTS:

According to the last census of the year 2017 Piura it’s the most populated
region after Lima, with approximately 1.8 million people living.

ACTIVITIES TO DO (WHERE WHAT)

The city of Piura is filled with colonial architecture, beautiful plazas, green
parks, markets and many other tourist attractions. Close to city there’s a
number of very appealing sandy beaches and related oceanfront
attractions, which are perfect for an afternoon's sunbathing, swimming and
even surfing.

WEATHER

The climate is desertic and semi-desertics. The rain is scarce, but when
the El Niño phenomenon arises, the rain is copious and makes the dry
ravines become alive giving rise to floodings and great morphological
movements.

TIPICALL FOOD, DANCE.

The famous gastronomical dishes are the Seco de Chavelo, Ceviche de

Mero and Sudado de Cachema.

The Tondero and cumanana are the traditional music of Piura

PERSONAL OPINION

I recommend to visit mancora beach, if you wanna have very relaxed days,
this is for you. However, I think the city of Piura has more potential to
exploit. Unfortunately the El Niño phenomenon caused a lot of damage.
