Objectives (Explicit):

Students will create an ABC book detailing World War I.

Opening (state objectives, connect to previous learning, and make relevant to real life):

 The teacher will greet students at the door and ID’s will be checked. Then students will be told to take out
the materials needed, and to put backpacks on the hooks. Students will be asked to wait against the wall
while they wait for their new assigned seats.
 Students will then listen to objectives and review the agenda for the week.

students needs extra assistance or monitoring, one of the teachers will continue facilitating the guided
practice while the other teacher will monitor and/or assist the student(s).

Closing/Student Reflection/Real-life connections: In the last 10 minutes of class, students will be asked to put
away all necessary materials. Students will be required to sit in their desks until the teachers dismiss them for the
day.
