Like the entstat for network is there any command to check the connectivity
between the FC-HBA to the SAN fabric in AIX? # entstat -d en0 | grep Link
Link Status : Up

You can user switchShow on the SAN.

It will show you the WW names connected to each ports.
The admin interface will show the details of the SAN fabric.

lsattr -El fscsi0

If it's connected you will see the word:  Switch
in the rst line.

Try using
# syminq - ber hba
The output will show the status of every HBA attached. If the output
contains the Status as Online then the connectivity from HBA to SAN -Switch
is at least O.K. otherwise you either need to check your bre cable or the
Filbre card or your switch port.

I found fcstat has -D option. Its not in the man page or on the command -options.

# fcstat -D fcs8 | grep Attention

Attention Type: Link Up
